Hubby makes jigs for bottom fish. Said that hooks are strong and sharp.Recommend

I purchased these hooks because I was unable to purchase the jig heads that I wanted for Striper fishing that would not bend when you get a big fish on. I own a Striper Charter Service and we started casting our own jigs using the Banana Do-it jig mold. This is the 60 degree version of a very strong hook used in saltwater jigs. It will work in most Do-It molds that call for the Eagle Claw 410. The 90 degree version of this same hook is the Mustad 91715 and will replace the Eagle Claw 635 hook. We use the 5/0 size with StriperMemories Umbrella Rigs that are being trolled on 80 Pound PowerPro braid. If you get the 5/0 hooks hung in a tree, they will break 40 pound braid. If we are trolling single jigs on 40 pound PowerPro braid, drop back to the 4/0 version.

Overall good hooks and quantity for the price. Just had a couple in my pack that had a blunt tip like the one on the bottom in the picture.

Hooks are nice for making jigs, a few of the eyes weren't closed though.

Love the long heavy shank And sharpness on these. Use them in a bullet jig mold 4oz and 6oz for fishing in the Pacific Ocean for bottom fish and lingcod. Best so far is 35 pounds and the hook showed no sign of bending. I will buy more of these.
