Another Hidden Jewel Addressing A Relevant Christian Topic
Real Worship is another Warren Wiersbe book that applies accurate Bible study to an area that affects most Christians. The author brings up points about the worship experience from two different sides that you can find existing between Protestant-type and Charismatic-type church environments. Wiersbe expounds on bringing balance between the two views of worship. So, this book can minister to Christian adults as well as spiritually-mature teens up to the oldest generation alive.Wiersbe does not limit his study to only music worship. But he certainly explains the different ways that musical worship can be trivialized. He addresses leaders as well as church members on true worship that pleases God and the right attitudes to have during that worship. He also shows that there are spiritual and physical consequences to treating worship as anything other than the highest regard to our Savior. As in Wiersbe's other books, some of which I have read among the numerous he has written, Real Worship encourages readers to pick up the Bible and read it with the many scriptural references made. I have to point this out about his books because there are sadly so many Christian books with the approach of "take my word for it", "adopt this new terminology for deeper understanding of what's not even written in God's Word", and "Just trust my revelation that my interpretation is so accurate that it is not to be challenged by anyone unless they want to be labelled as 'rebellious'. Wiersbe doesn't make Word-seeking Christian readers squirm in unsettling doubt. He relies on the Word and secondarily his experience in ministry (which he still evaluates Biblically).I would recommend this book to pastors, worship leaders, choir members, and other church leaders. This book will challenge anyone to replace worship preference and personal interpretation of what God desires in worship with what self-denial before God. I first opened this book with an adamant outlook that my understand of worshiping the LORD was correct. Learning how wrong I was in many areas, as I read this book, I found little room for argument.

Great Book that Expands Worship Beyond the Church Service Experience
I have not completed this book yet but I have still been very impressed by its content. It is very balanced in its perspective of worship. The most important thing to learned from the book is that everything we do because of Christ is worship. Worship can not be regulated to just church services because worship is a lifestyle. I recommend this book to those who are studying on the power and necessity of worship. I would not recommend basing your whole worship theology on this book but it is an excellent resource to expand your understanding of worship. I am currently reading it as text book at for a Worship Ministry class at the Apostolic School of Theology and it has been very useful to balance our studies on the subject. The author is not Apostolic or Pentecostal but he seems to have good balance of perspective particularly when explaining liturgy. I recommend it for Apostolic readers as long as your realize the limitations to the author's perspective in regards to Holy Ghost led worship in Church. His ideas are great to encourage worship as an everyday journey with God.

I would recommend this book to every Christian
This revised version has an expanded section at the end dealing particularly with church music issues in our worship. He proposes a balanced and helpful outlook on the issues of contemporary music and traditional music. I would recommend this book to every Christian. Wiersbe defines worship as the loving response of the heart to all that God says, does and is. Each chapter deals with important aspects of worship, and clarifies that worship is not confined to a Sunday morning service, but instead is a lifestyle of a surrendered will and a supreme love for God above everything else. My own view of worship was dramatically enlarged and refined. I was particularly blessed by the prayer at the end of each chapter. Dr. Wiersbe does a great job in answering a number of practical questions about worship in a section at the end of the book. The book is practical, balanced, and life-changing

Just What The Doctor Ordered
Fiinally the Christian world has a prescription for its anemic worship. Dr. Wiersbe's concise and poignant observations make it necessary for all readers to analyze their own worship styles and motives. Contemporaneously, the chapter dealing with balance was excellent. The application of balance can only lead to a more healthy environment-- spiritual and otherwise.

Helpful and insightful!
Haven't read it all but appreciated the section on praise being spiritual warfare. Helpful for an assignment I was doing and also encouraging to remember it whenever worshipping.
