First off, in my experience this product works great. It turns on with a cup on it and shuts off easily when the cup is lifted off. The cup also needs to have liquid. When I place an empty cup it doesn't seem to be enough weight to turn it on, which is great!It keeps my cup of coffee/tea at a great warmish-hot temperature. Not too hot (I could stand it to be a little hotter) but definitely keeps it at a good average drinking temperature.I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't speak to the longevity but so far it's done exactly what it's supposed to.I purchased the pink one. And the entire thing is pink, even the heating top where you place the mug. And after the first use it discolored. I used it maybe 2-3 hours straight having 2 cups of coffee. And after the middle lightened and is a light yellow blob where the heating pad is.IDK if this would happen with the white or the black, maybe only with the pink. But I was disappointed that it discolored so quickly. I'm still using it and so far it hasn't gotten any worse. But it happened on the first use and that's awful.I bought pink because I liked the color and for it to not hold up is off putting.I'll update if the coloring get worse or any function of the warmer breaks.But yes, still a 4-star review because the item functions perfectly as discribes. Just discolored way too quickly.

I bought mine before there were so many negative reviews here. I would not have purchased one. I've been very lucky in that mine has not discolored. I have not used it for candles.I use it 99.9999% of the time for coffee. One time, out of desperation, I did put a small salad plate on it and some candy melts because I needed to "paint" some cake pops with melted candy melts. Worked like a charm. I did have to weight the plate down with a tiny cup of water in the middle, but it melted the candy melts and did not discolor the pink warmer.I don't blame the bad reviewers for posting negative reviews. I would have too. I am really happy with mine, so must have gotten lucky.

This product does a great job keeping my coffee warm at work but after just 1 use, the surface started changing colors. I thought that maybe it was because it was still hot but the green tinge has just gotten bigger since first use. I’m not sure if this is going to affect its performance in the future but for now it’s functioning even if it’s not as aesthetically pleasing as I would’ve liked.

I bought the pink one to go with my office decor. Overall this works great it heats up and keeps my coffee/tea warm and the auto feature is nice so I don’t have to worry about unplugging it. However with the pink one it does discolor in the center and turns a yellow white color. Kind of disappointing but overall works great.

I havent seen any one else in the reviews use this as a candle warmer, but this may be why I'm running to this issue. My heating pad has discolored after a couple days of a glass candle being on it. I'm not sure if this is because the Auto-Off doesnt function correctly, or the plastic is just prone to discoloration.

Love it. I’m always having to re-heat my coffee because Im back and forth all day long. This little gadget keeps my coffee nice and hot.

This thing is awesome! It only turns on when the weight of the drink is felt which is great safe wise. I will admit after some use it has lost it's color where my mug sits, the heat I;m sure causes this. However I get lots of compliments on it :) Recommended buy!

I always forget my tea as I’m doing stuff in the morning to get ready for my day and then remember it was sitting on my nightstand when I grab my phone to leave. When I put it on the warmer it’s still hot for me to sip.
