several features I don't like
I've had several different kinds of comparable heaters and this was a disappointment.Keep in mind that all 120V heaters will max out at 1500 watts because of the limitations of AC power in the US. It is also in the nature of this kind of heater that ALL of the power goes to heat. So it won't heat a room any faster than any other 120V model that can run at 1500 watts. A high blow-rate can make a difference though in heating a room more evenly. This has a fairly low blow-rate.Pros:-Solid construction.-Very quiet (on heat mode. Fan mode sounds more like a fan.)Cons:-No thermostat, it just runs all the time. (albeit many heaters don't have a thermostat)-No timer, it just runs all the time.-Too blocky! Takes up more floor space than my other thinner/taller models.-The high-heat setting doesn't blow very much while the high-speed fan mode absolutely blows air like a fan. Why can't they make the high-heat setting do this? It would help regulate the room temperature much better. It looks like a jet-engine but there is no 'vortex' action going on.-Can't tell when it is on or off. There is a power light that is always on but it doesn't change whether it is turned on or not.-Supposed to have an easy-carry handle but compared to others it's not very good, especially considering the blocky shape of the heater. If you want a good fan, look for a bigger size that you can easily see through. They don't clog up like the 'ceramic' heaters, and blow more air than other designs because the air path past the heater coils and fan blades us so open.

Much quieter than other heaters, softer and warmer ambiance.
I purchased a number of space heaters this year, two of these Pelonis PSH700G's and two of the Honeywell HCE200W's. The original purpose was to heat a room up to 120F to clean out any bugs making their home there (needed several heaters from different circuits around the house running at once to accomplish that). And then they got put away until this week when igniter failed on our furnace, just when it was getting really cold outside. So while waiting for the new igniter to arrive we put the space heaters to good use. Both work as advertised (I mean come on.. basically all the watts get converted to heat regardless of claims or brand!). But the family universally liked the Pelonis better than the Honeywell for two reasons. First, the Pelonis fan is much much quieter than the honeywell fan... possibly one of the quietest fans I've heard for a space heater. It has a bigger face and the fan runs more slowly than the Honeywell. And second, because whatever they are doing to direct the air results in a nice uniform, slow, warm airflow whereas the Honeywell behaved more like a blower (that is not necessarily pleasant on your face). The honeywell disturbed the air enough that it was sucking the cold from the walls into the room, the Pelonis did not disturb the air so much. So the Pelonis definitely felt 'warmer' in that regard. So I rate these units 5-stars. I have no idea regards to longevity, we've only used them regularly for a week, but everything else about the Pelonis seems top notch to me.-Matt

No thermostat
It's quiet and disburses heat in a room in about 10-15 minutes. There is a low and a high heat setting. Problem is you always have to turn it on or off then it gets cold or too hot because there is no thermostat. The cooling fan does a good job of circulating air.

Good for 1 small room, been using it for the 2 winters
I live in the California, and it is not too cold. It does not snow after all. I used it during winter, and it worked great. Beware that it draws a lot of energy if you use the heat at level 2. I have to keep it at level 1 heat only as it has already burnt 2 of my power receptacles already.

Great heater and fan combo
Though mine looks like it was dropped onto a stone driveway before being shipped to me, this heater heats up instantly and can adequately heat up a 10 x 20' room.Typically these are almost dead silent, can't even notice it is on sometimes. Mine sometimes starts making a buzzing noise if it is on low heat, but is quiet on high heat. Pretty weird. It also has 2 regular fan speeds which make this heater useful year-round.What sold me on this heater was my college roommate owning one. There was a cold snap and our dorm heaters didn't work, so his little fan heater kept us alive while being silent enough to let us sleep.

Wonderful Product
The fan is amazing! Works perfect during winter and alternately during Summer. I use it mostly in my room but it is portable and easily moved to other locations. Have been saving tons on my energy bill since.

Very quiet
Provides very quiet convective heat, which is a priory for me. I would purchase again for sure, but the following improvements are suggested: The light on top of the unit is always on unless the unit is tipped over or not flat on the floor. In my opinion this light should reflect heating status so there's a visual indication the unit is on or off. Also I'd prefer that the low heat setting provided a bit more heat. Other than those nits, this unit is well made provides nice heat on high and is so quiet!

Great value!
The only heat I have in my apartment is the heat setting of the air conditioner, which is in the living room. It's big, old and loud and the heat doesn't reach back into my bedroom. I purchased this for the bedroom and can't believe how quickly and how well it works! It's quieter and more energy-efficient (costing me less to run) than the AC unit, so I've ordered a 2nd to put in the living room. Heat in the winter and fan in the summer, I think it's one of the smartest purchases I've made all year!

Works well
I got this to quickly warm up my home office on cold winter mornings and to double as a small fan in the summer. It works well in both capacities. It's a bit bigger than I was expecting, as its front is 10" across. But this lets it move more air with less noise. It's pretty quiet. I tried a cheap heater before getting this one that had several problems: it smelled, it was noisy, its cheap modular fan started making scraping noises, its handle and controls were very unergonomic, its power cable heated up, and its low-heating mode simply turned off half of the heating element but still moved air through it, which made half the air coming off it hot and half cold, which is unpleasant. This unit fixes all of those problems. It had a little bit of a "new heater" smell initially when heating, but that's pretty much gone after a couple of days. I tested it with a Kill-A-Watt power meter, and it delivers the 1500 and 900 watts of heating that it promises. As 1500 watts is the maximum allowed in North America, this unit will heat a room as well as any other 1500-watt heater, since all resistive-electric heaters are 100% efficient (all of the energy consumed ends up as heat). It moves a lot more air than smaller heaters, and in high-speed fan mode, it moves as much air as a small fan. This unit uses a dedicated, real fan and motor. This model lacks a couple of features that other people might find important: it has no thermostat, so it will just keep heating until it's turned off, and it doesn't oscillate.
