Works as advertised. I had two flashlights that both needed 6v batteries and this was a great price so far, so good. Just remember that the batteries are shipped with a plastic cap over one of the springs ( only one spring will have the cap) looks like a toothpaste cap, and that has to be twisted off and disposed of before installing battery because its there for shipping purposes only.

This Rayovac 944-2R: 6-Volt Heavy Duty Lantern Battery with Spring Terminals comes as a two-pack. The battery is easy to install in Rayovac's handheld lantern. The light projected by the battery is perfectly bright and perfectly steady. The light shaft is wide enough and firm enough to illuminate varying degrees of darkness and to bring greater light to lighted areas. The battery is long-lasting; this is the second battery that I've bought for Rayovac's handheld lantern; the first battery, which was used often, lasted for several years.

I bought this pair of 6V batteries for 2 lantern flashlights. They both work, but one is cracked a pushed in at the top, right where the negative spring is. My guess is that some weight was placed on top, and since that spring has a plastic cap on it, it couldn't just compress, could only punch down into the battery. Other than that, it's not beat up, so I assume the F cells inside are still in good shape. Disappointed though. I mean, the price is great, but I wasn't expecting damaged product.

Just installed them - fit is as expected. Voltage and light brightness good. Don't know about durability or battery shelf life - can check back in next year.
