You won't regret it
My family had a similar one when I was a kid. Didn't know they were still around. Best grater ever!

Always works
Old fashion but love them.

Slice Away
Great kitchen tool for slicing and dicing veggies, cheese, etc. More than enough choices of "blades." One minor complaint is cleaning cheese out from the underside after grating takes extra time.

Best gadget in the world
Best gadget in the world for grating hard cheese, especially if you like Italian food topped with Parmesan or other cheeses.

Cheese Grater
This cheese grater is based on a vintage style I used as a teenager. Now in my late 60's I thought this would be the best one to try. However, the knob was hard for me to turn and the cheese caked up all through the grater. The cheese did not push out of the grater into a bowl because it was caked up. I used Monterey jack cheese and although that's a softer cheese, the grater should still deliver.

Convenience!
I first used a "Mouli Julienne " as a teenager. After becoming a mom, I really wanted one for convenience and safety of my knuckles. My husband just about had a heart attack at paying $20 for a "cheese grater". Fast forward almost 40 years and I'm on my third one. I have purchased one for each of my children as well. I use it for so much more than cheese.

Works but not super well
I was going to replace my vintage Mouli gadget that's more than 50 years old, one of the first ones ever available at a local Oktoberfest in Altötting in Germany by my mother whom I persuaded to buy it for Christmas cookie ingredients. The thing is made of metal and is has worked and worked and worked ever since although it's slightly rusty and needs to be Cleaned and bent into shape before every use. I tried the new one and several others, none have come close to the sharpness of the vintage specimen. I gave the new one away, tried several others. Still looking for a replacement. The new ones work but not well. I have not found any new metal ones so far.

not worth the money
Lightweight construction, poor design. Not suited for anything but very small batches of food.
