Late delivery, Not easy to construct
The delivery was later than expected, especially as Amazon had reported it was out for delivery and the delivery was 24 hours! It was still just within the time slot they promised but the Amazon reporting had been not as good (especially as this was ordered in May for an Aug delivery (at least 2 months when others do it in 3 days). The screw holes had no pilot hole for the receiving side and had to be drilled to avoid splitting which was never performed on the items delivered, and this made assembly hard. The assembly video was a little helpful but had been pre-assembled and the holes were already in the receiving side which made the video unrealistic. But overall, it is a strong and sturdy product. And once together, looks and feels great.

Good value, sturdy and comfortable
Great garden table and bench set. Very sturdy design and construction. Easy to assemble - I would recommend using a wood clamp in addition to the stated tools.

Great table
A great looking and well built table and chairs, good solid wood and once assembled very solid. Easy to follow instructions which is nicely laid out step by step with pictures. Only a slight delay due to lockdown but expected and keep me informed.

Rubbish bad quality wood full of cracks.
Don't bother with this table and bench set. It took ages to assemble as my husband had to redrill lots of holes as they were not correct. The table and benches have many long deep cracks in the wood and it was so rough in places it will need resanding. The company did replace just the table top. Wouild not buy this again

Ideal patio table
Ok firstly I love the table and benches. They're exactly what I wanted for my new patio area with views of the Cathedral in the distance. It's very heavy (I ordered the 5' table), I could just about manage the table top on my own, but fully assembled, well it's not going to happen. The free standing benches also mean you don't necessarily have to be sat at the table to sit down. In this weather I like to practice my guitar outside and the benches will be ideal (it's difficult to play on any chair with arms), while having a cold one handy at arms reach. Now I'm going to give a few practical tips that I hope will be of use to potential buyers. The description does tend to suggest that you need a socket spanner to assemble and away you go, however in practice I think things are not quite so simple. Firstly, the video on the suppliers website shows a gentleman making short work of assembling a table and bench set. However look very closely and you'll see he's using an impact driver and not a drill driver. If, like me, you don't generally have any use for an impact driver, then things will be a little different. The situation is that in most cases the screw holes are only drilled in one part of the assembly. For example attaching the A frames to the table top, only the frames have the drill holes. Now an impact driver will make short work of forcing the screws through the A frames and into the table supports, but a drill driver will probably not, as I found out very quickly. Fortunately I have two cordless drill drivers, so fitted one (the more powerful one) with an M5 wood drill bit (the screwbolts are 6mm) and the other with the 10mm socket needed for the screws. This combination worked quite well by drilling through the pre-drilled holes into the undrilled section and then using the socket to fit the screw. The only problem I had was that some of the sections had nails, and I had to be careful to avoid lining up the drill holes to where they would be intercepted by a nail, so the sections need to be checked before you start drilling. This was particularly true with the benches. In all, putting this set together is not a very difficult job, but you do need tools to do it, and not just a nice socket set.Anyway I now have a full set on my patio and it's very sturdily put together, and looks great. Just one other point to make. I assembled the set two days after delivery, and found the wood to be damp from the treatment it's been given, and while assembling found it was colouring my work gloves so has definitely not yet dried fully. As far as I'm concerned this is a GOOD thing since it means the wood has been well treated so the set should last well, but it does mean that wearing gloves while working was sensible, and also that perhaps a couple of days in the sun will be ideal to help dry the wood treatment before use. I'm looking forward to a BBQ on my son's birthday in 3 days time, weather forecast excellent so I'm hoping the table will get an enjoyable family christening.
