Excellent for the Senior Beds
This is screwed low to the wall my bed is against. When I get up, I just reach and pull. Also helps during the night to turn over.

Risk of fall, bud? Mount in wall stud!
Good to grab on to near a step, shower or tub. Make sure you screw into the center of a stud of course. Help out your mobility challenged family and friends by mounting these in areas with a high fall risk. I use them in a vertical orientation. Cost effective and strong.

Great Quality but provided Screw Heads Strip Easily (Phillips Heads)...Switched to Different Screws
We have three of these in our home all in different locations, for their price you just cannot go wrong. After installing the first two and experiencing the phillip head screws stripping to the point where I almost couldn't get them in all the way 'or get them back out', I switched to another type screw on the last install. I used R4 #10 Multi-Purpose Screws @ 3-1/2" L....but a 3" length would probably be fine also. I just like these safety handles to be VERY secure since falling can easily become a serious event. Note: These screws require a T-25 Bit to be driven in, so if you decide to use these screws be sure you have a T-25 bit as well. The screws are available inexpensively just about anywhere, easiest place to purchase is right here on Amazon. If you purchase a small package, the package will often include a T-25 Bit, read the package description carefully to know if it contains a T-25. For individuals that haven't ever used these type of screws and Bits, I can only say they are the best all around screw and driving method I have ever used. I keep around 5-6 packages of different sizes and lengths around the house.
