As good as 4K... well nearly.
I'd been having real issues streaming with my Sony a6400 camera as I was using an Elgato Camlink 4K capture card, although I didn't realise it at the time, it was the capture card. I blamed my internet speed and even my top of the range best spec possible Macbook Pro. Then I thought I'd test this Pengo capture card. Brilliant! It seems the Elgato Camlink was limiting my camera settings options and forcing the camera to send 4K to Zoom, Skype, eCamm etc, so no matter what settings I tried the Camlink over-ruled the camera resulting in lousy streaming images. Pengo to the rescue! Easy to set up, camera now offers more options (for HD etc). So delighted with my purchase and would highly recommend.

DO NOT BUY FOR PAL STANDARD CAMERAS
What a drongo I am. I did not read the reviews properly, why I don't know as I usually do.If your device cannot support 1080 60p (i.e. US) it won't work. Well, it will but my camera renegotiates a level they can both agree on which is 4:3 750x576 and squashes the whole signal into that so I'm stretched thin. Worried at first it was my camera but then after a support question - which was very quickly and elegantly answered - I found out it needs a 60p signal. None of my 8 different cameras will support that.BUGGA!

Adapter is USB 2
Capture card itself is USB3 and supports 1080p 60fps YUY2, however the adapter it comes with, while being blue and sporting the USB 3 logo, is actually USB 2.This means YUY2 is not an option and you are stuck with MJPEG unless you buy a separate USB 3 rated female USB C to male USB A.Very misleading advertising and incorrect use of the USB standard on the adapter, but the card appears to have fairly low latency and decent picture quality.

CAREFUL! Not compatible with a lot of UK cameras
I bought this to stream from my Canon camera to the PC. Unfortunately, Canon cameras don't switch to NTSC, so this capture device is useless. I have two other capture boards (a generic one I ordered from China and a Magewell) both are multistandard and work with anything you throw at them. This one seems like it has a limited set of NTSC modes. So not much use for the UK, so returned back.

Works great.
bought it to preview the PS4 on a linux box so don't have to switch inputs all the time. Works a treat with no issues in Linux and OBS Studio. The only thing I should have done is buy the model with pass-through option - as that would make my life even easier.

Terrible
Terrible picture quality when using this to stream to Twitch.Game looks pixealted, the sound is awful, I would avoid this device at all costs!

Good capture, slightly grainy sound
Capture quality is honestly good for the money that you pay for this product, it's a case of "does what it says on the tin" - the only thing that I've noticed thus far is the HDMI output audio is slightly grainy, it may be something you can live with however in post production or through alternate methods. Would recommend.
