Works Fine.
Works as advertised and a good value. The size didn't fit my application so I had to get a different one (my bad). But I can still use it as a backup if I need to.

Measure twice order once.
Like any of you who are reading the review, I have a similar story AC stopped working, hottest day of the year, partner decided to blame you, etc. So what do we do? We google what could be wrong, decide it's probably the capacitor, and go outside and check on the capacitor value. Perfect right? WRONG!You actually need to do 2 things not one(before you start though make sure you pull / turn off the fuse to the ac unit! This will keep you safe, additionally you should discharge the capacitor Just do this first, your life is most important).1. Read the capacitor value. The capacitor value should be printed on the side. If you are here you already know your value, yet.2. Measure the capacitor "Length and width". This is important. When i started looking around I realized there are multiple capacitor widths, and some of them is much "skinnier" than this one. My bracket has no real way to adjust the capacitor holding without "bending it" which won't hold it well, and feels frankly dangerous. You want the thing that is sending 440V of power to be securely fastened right? Don't "make do" get something that fits right. MEASURE the LENGTH and WIDTH!As to this capacitor, honestly I will withhold my judgement. It does work, but I dont' know about the quality yet. It does have the standard "poles" (2 for the fan, 3 for the HERM, 4 for common). It's also made in China. Honestly I would feel better about it if it was made in Mexico or USA, but the few made in the USA capacitors I found were the wrong size, and once again, DON'T MAKE DO.

Cheap insurance if you're handy.
I live in SWFL. It's warm here a lot of the time. Really warm. Two years ago, I had my HVAC unit's capacitor die on a Saturday afternoon in July. The closest replacement cap I could find was at an ACE Hardware twenty miles away. I'm fine, but overheated wife was getting more miserable by the minute, so off I go to buy the only 45/5 cap available on Saturday in the county. Ninety minutes later, our Goodman unit was once again blowing that sweet, cold air.Not wanting to be caught without a spare capacitor again, I bought this one on Amazon and put it on the shelf in the garage. Fast forward two years to today. It's just after five o'clock and I'm walking into the house after doing some maintenance on the sailboat motor, not a pleasant place in this heat. It's 95 degrees in the Florida sunshine and as I walk past the thermostat in the living room, I notice that it's a few degrees over the setpoint. No, that never happens, so I walk outside and place my hand over the condenser fan. The air blowing from the fan.......It's not hot. I can't hear the compresor running, either. Wife hasn't even noticed yet, but I know the A/C is broken.Checked the garage and this capacitor was just where I put it two years ago. I killed the power to the unit, discharged the old cap, swapped out the leads and secured the new one in place. Ten minutes max. Flipped the breaker, waited a few minutes and heard the lovely sound of our compressor kicking on....... and now I'm a hero. I tested the old cap, and the 45 side tested out at 40. The fan side was solid at 5. In the trash it goes.I'm back here at Amazon to buy another one to sit on that vacant place on the garage shelf. The one I bought from ACE only lasted two years. Hopefully, this one will last longer. If you know what you're doing, this part it the one most likely to fail and probably the easiest part to replace on your A/C unit. This part, purchased two years ago, probably saved us a $300 service call to replace that part.If you don't know what you're doing, trust me, you can get a nasty shock from these things. Call a service tech.

Works as expected
This capacitor worked perfectly. I replaced it myself after ordering on Amazon and saved hundreds on a repair call. Super easy swap and my AC is running like new again. If you’re into DIY, this is a must-have.

Being prepared
I'm keeping this as a spare being this is usually the number one component to fail on a HVAC unit. I'm using this in a Day and Night unit. My old capacitor is pictured below for reference.
