My seven year old daughter has the courageous girls devo and asked for this Bible. It’s so nice! I love the colorful artwork highlighting some women of the Bible. She was already reading it on her own. Love it.

For courageous girls of any age
The Bible for Courageous Girls is a great Bible for those young and young at heart which emphasizes the role women played in Judaism and Christianity in Biblical times.This is a New Life Version of the Bible, which I had never heard of. This version of the Bible is for people who speak English as a second Language. It has a limited vocabulary, which is perfect for new readers and for people learning to read English for the first time. I loved how Genesis was begun in this Bible: "In the beginning God made from nothing the Heavens and the Earth." Compare this to the King James Version of the Bible: "In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth." Overall, this is much simpler and easier to understand, and to comprehend.This version has an introduction called "Girls are World Changers!" which speaks about the importance of Girls and Women in the times the Bible was written in. I've heard of Mary, Mary Magdaline and Esther, but I've never heard of the stories of the woman in the Bible who led her people into battle or the story of the 12 year old girl Jesus raised from the dead. The pictures are awesome. All the main female characters of the Bible are illustrated in color and descriptions are given of who they are, and the Biblical references to them/page numbers in this Bible.I was highly impressed with this Bible, and being a 'older' Girl I enjoyed it. This would make a great gift for a woman who is graduating grade school, celebrating their first communion, or who wants and needs a new Bible.
