Eezy Peezy Japan Eezy!
Used it today. Wow. This thing will make quick work of those unwanted weeds. I thought I would need a "Chopping" motion to use it. NO NO NO. It Glides, slides and SLICES the weeds. I was vert impressed at how well it performs. It is made in Japan. Quality. It is very light. I would have preferred it more heavy.

Works great!
Works great I bought two of them. I mostly have used it for the cracks in my sidewalk. Sometimes there’s a few like some crabgrass I couldn’t get out of The cracks completely. A lot of times I use the back edge to go through the cracks instead of the front pointed edge. I highly recommend Us it’s held up pretty well.

Sharp, lightweight but sturdy, good length
I like this better than a dutch hoe so far. The sharpness is great. Not sure how long the blade will stay that way. It comes with a plastic cover that can help protect you in case of an accidental drop or scratch.

A good addition to the weeding arsenal
I don't think any ONE weeder can entirely fix your weeding problems. Weeds are too relentless for that. I already use a "D" style stirrup hoe, and last season added this Japanese weeding tool (which I modified slightly by attaching it to a long broom handle). The Japanese weeder is much sharper, feels a bit stealthier, more accurate, and lighter than a stirrup weeder, and in some ways more fun to use. But don't count the stirrup hoe out completely: for some tasks it can apply more brute force, dig a bit deeper, etc., due to having a true integrated handle and a rigid cutting stirrup. The blade on the Japanese weeder is also prone to rusting unless you oil it routinely, but it's so sharp that it cuts well when rusty. I plan to care for it whenever I can, but not be obsessive. It's a fun tool that's satisfying to use.

Well made, sharp and a must have
This is a must have if you are a Gardner. Perfect tool to quickly remove weeds around plants. It is sharp and the blade angle makes it easier to use I love it

You can get this Scary Sharp!
I have this long weeder and a short weeder, and it extends my reach greatly. It's made of a good steel and is quite sturdy. It can be sharpened easily and stays sharp pretty well, but you can't have easy and long time both at the same time. A quality tool, in my experience.

Great Japanese hand tool
Between the point, the (very) sharp blade and good quality steel, the long and sturdy handle and solid tang, this is my go-to garden tool (along with a Japanese hand rake), after a lifetime of using (and being less than satisfied with) other heavier, less versatile tools.

Not a very sharpe hoe.
I purchased this item based on a friends recommendation, but was disappointed when I tried using it. I don't know if you are suppose to sharpen it before use or not, but it didn't work well for me.
