Hobie Livewell Battery

I purchased this as a replacement for my fish finder battery. But I have had nothing but problems. Foremost, the battery clip would not insert all the way. Come to find out the pins were crooked and there was something preventing it from going an additional hair so the connector would “click.”So I cut off the connector from my old batter and then attached. See my pic with shrink tubing showing repair.But now the battery appears to be completely dead and won’t hold a charge.It has taken me some time to figure this out as it is in my second home so I could only address it once a month. Now I’m out of the return period.I think I’ll stick with Austin Kayak, where I bought my last replacement.
