Fun, Simple, and Perfect for Beginners
I’ve never done anything like this before.... I’m more of a paper craft person, and the most time I’ve spent with thread and needle is knitting scarves 10 years ago (and I wasn’t very good at that). But I like to try new things, and I’ve just recently moved and wanted to decorate my house with some handmade decor. This kit is a great value for the price! It came with the hoop, more than enough thread, and two needles! The printed pattern is very clear and easy to follow, and the little sheet of instructions on what stitch to use and how to do it is clear enough (and anything I don’t understand I just watch a tutorial on YouTube).I’m about 3 hours into the project already and I didn’t want to put it down last night. I was up until 2am stitching away! It’s fun, simple and it’s going to look very cute next to my collection of cacti!! Thank you for a great quality product, and for allowing me to add another hobby to my ever growing stack!

Not perfect, but it'll do for someone looking to try hand embroidery
Firstly, this is NOT a cross stitch kit! The name is misleading if you don't know the difference between cross stitching and hand embroidery.Shipping took about 2 weeks. I managed to finish it despite the fact that the stamp was horribly smudged. The directions didn't specify where to begin, so I kind of jumped in without really thinking and ended up having to work around/go over the spines. The instructions were probably translated from another language, because they're vague and there are some spelling errors (see pics). The floss seems to be of decent quality, and the scissors are super sharp. I did end up having to use diluted bleach to remove the blue from the finished product, and I added the font myself. Not bad for my first attempt, but not perfect by any means.Overall I think it's an alright project for a beginner; I'll definitely be trying my hand at another project.

OK--no real instructions, missing black floss
I bought this as someone wanting to learn embroidery but who had no supplies except a pair of scissors. Immediately I noticed that there was no black embroidery floss in the kit (thankfully my mom had some), and there were no actual instructions for the pattern itself. There is a picture of the pattern with the color of thread, type of stitch and the number of strands to use, but as a beginner I would have preferred some guidance on what order to do things in. For example, with the pink feather, is it better to do the pink part or the black part first? They do include stitch instructions, but I still spent a good bit of time on YouTube to see it done. Five stars for "easy to learn" because it wasn't hard, I just would have appreciated some more in-depth instructions.

Only one real complaint, but good for beginners
I appreciate the simplicity and clarity of the pattern. I wish there had been a little more instructions on what to do with the thread, how to set up the needle,l etc. It’s a good set, pretty pattern, good for a beginner if you’re okay with little discrepancies. The instructions are not written by a native English speaker, but there’s nothing really confusing about them. I’m not that picky about that, as long as I can get the gist. The only real complaint I have is that they didn’t give the black thread. So half the threads were on the wrong numbers and I don’t have the thread for details in 4 of the patterns or for the word “Wild” at all. I’ll see what I have left when I’m done with the patterns and make do with it. Just wish I had the full complete kit.

Easy and beginner-safe, wrong colors...missing floss
Country Roads: It is a cute road trip type pattern and is definitely beginner-friendly. Note: the colors of thread provided don't match the finished product image. Instead of light grey, I got a mossy grey. Instead of a brownish beige, it's more peach. Other than that, it is an easy pattern.Spring: another cute pattern, but *check to make sure all of the floss colors are included and in the correct spot.* I started the pattern and then realized black wasn't included, and the colors on the 10-18 card were in the wrong spots.

I saw fun and good for beginners and I agree!
My 2nd one. The thread is kind of crappy but I LOVE these for beginners. With these kits and YouTube you can get started and have so much fun. I just can't give it a 5 b/c I got another one that was missing one of the accessories and this one was missing a specific color thread (factory assembly line mishaps yes?). But they are fabulous. The instructions on are C- but again who cares with YouTube. If you want to get started I HIGHLY recommend. They give you confidence to go do it on your own. The 2 for "easy to learn" is because these instructions - EW - but as I keep repeating - with YouTube - you are fine. SO FUN! Great to gift to those who want to embroider and Great to frame and gift when done. Enjoy!

Bad quality but ok for beginners
The price for this item is high considering you can buy two kits for the same price on amazon. This wouldn’t be a big deal if the quality was on par but unfortunately, compared to other beginners kits, this was definitely cheaply made. It was easy to follow but do yourself a favor and buy a cheaper kit because it’ll be higher quality floss, fabric, and needles.

Very cute design
Pros: Very cute design, plenty of materials to get that design done with, the scissors in this kit actually cut the thread, not a lot of variety in stitches so you get a lot of practice on them!Cons: Instructions not clear and if you aren't already fairly knowledgeable about embroidery stitches you'll probably have to go to YouTube (I did). It was difficult to get a lot of tension on the hoop using just my fingers, I gave up and got it as tight as I could (wooden hoop with a screw and nut for closure) and would just retighten it and tug the fabric tight again periodically. The only other note is...it's a lot of curves and some of them are on the small side so just be patient with yourself and use smaller stitches to make it look smooth. Like the previous kit I've gotten and tried, it doesn't come with a needle threader so picking one up will make this much much easier for you. If you like the design it's well worth trying even if you're an embroidery newbie like myself. :)(The photo is after I'd removed it from the hoop and put it back into the bag it came in until I can get a frame to display it in so that's why it has Berya showing up over the design.)
