Mella is fantastic, my daughter loves it, it does what it needs too brilliantly.There are a few things to improve upon in my opinion, such as using the top button to restart night light and music, would be brilliant.What it does well; in short, everything it needs too. The music settings while limited do the job.The night light is great.Changing functions is easy to do and get set up.The best part though is the sleep timer and mellas ‘face’ the colours to help know when to get up are great as is also assisting to help read the time. The face its self provides a fun interaction for my daughter. Over all fantastic product that could (with a few tweaks) easily become the best of its kind on the market.Thank you - a well rested parent

Great selection of functions. You can set the time, three sound options for an alarm, colours for wake up time and an interim colour for nearly wake up time, you can set a night light colour for bed time. There is also a nap time function and a sound function that I think has white noise or a melody. Seems to be everything you need in a kids first alarm clock, would recommend. I have two, one for my 3 year old and one for my 4 year old. Easy for them to turn off the alarm, they just push down on the top of the alarm clock for 2 seconds

The media could not be loaded. Got this for my 4yr old to mainly help with staying in bed / bedroom after waking early in the mornings.Setup is easy enough, takes a small amount of time to go through the various settings to set your desired settings.Not currently using the alarm option, just the wake-up light. Using the sounds and nightlight at bedtime.Very cute looking with the digital face, great excitement when the eyes blink after another minute has passed on the clock. My daughter loves the night light colour options and the wave sound. 3 brightness levels on the nightlight are good as depending on colour choosen it can be quite bright. The speaker sound could be better quality, is a bit tinny.Would be great if the Red nightlight came on automatically with the sleep time setting as another visual que for children to know it's bedtime.Would also be great to have weekday and weekend setting option.Would also be great to have the option to add personal custom sleep and alarm sounds by recording directly to the device.Overall very happy with the clock and its features. Feels quite solid and well made, nice design, good clear simple graphics on face. It is keeping my daughter in her bed/room as desired in the mornings. Will be able to use it as a full clock / alarm clock as she gets older and learns to tell the time. Would benefit from a longer power cable.

This is the second time I’ve purchased this clock. One for each of my daughters. They love it and I love it! It gives them the responsibility to know when they can get out of bed to play quietly in their room (yellow) and when they can come through to us (green). They also love that it sleeps at their bedtime too. It’s been perfect for stopping early morning wake ups! Also, when I had an issue with the first clock (years after warranty) I got in touch with support for advice and they were excellent. First class. I am so so impressed with this brand, I’ll be recommending it to everyone.

We are all a fan of Mella! Lockdown has caused havoc with my 3 year old's bedtime. She has a knack for dragging bedtime out regardless of how early we start the bedtime routine. She was falling asleep later and later and waking up earlier (5am).We had a Gro Clock before and she understood the concept but the night light was never consistent and would become really bright in the middle of the night even on the lowest setting. It would wake her up. I'm not sure if it was faulty. We stopped using it.Mella is well designed, even to the battery hatch. The instructions are simple to use and set up quick. My daughter loves the fact her clock has a smiley face. At bedtime, she's peeping at it waiting for it to go to sleep. Before she wouldn't let us turn the light off so she never calmed down. Now if Mella is asleep, the light goes off and she soon follows. She understands the light system for the morning. Knowing she has to wait for it to be green before getting out of bed. The first morning she was just sat there waiting for it to change before calling us all in excitedly. Everyone had to see. It's only been a few days but there has been no waking in the night either. We don't use the night light. The clock face is bright enough for us. I've tested it out and the night light brightness is adjustable and the colour options are fun for children to choose. We haven't tested the alarm or sounds but both will be useful in the future. This clock is definitely designed to grow with your child and wouldn't look out of place in any pre-teens bedroom. We're pleased we invested in this marvellous clock. It's given us back our evenings.

Overall, this is a good product - well enough designed, aesthetically pleasant, and fairly easy to set up and use.The only problem that we encountered is that my daughter didn't like the face! We solved this by putting a strip of black electrical tape over it. However, the colour system was great and helps her to understand when it's appropriate to stay in bed and when not.That said, this could have been such a better product. Some suggestions for future development, based on our usage so far:* Menu option to disable the face!* Ideally, be able to swap the face with a larger clock, and use the mini-clock for something else. This would also let you use it as a 'normal' clock in the future, when the kids are older.* Auto-nightlight timer, instead of having to manually switch it on. We use red for the nightlight, so it's "red" for staying in bed, "yellow" for not long now, and "green" for ok to get up.* Customise yellow time and duration from its default 30min setting* Ability for end-user to update firmware with future features, possibly by adding a USB OTG port
