Great Versatile String
I got these for my Stingray Special 5HH. I love the pickup configurations on this bass. The Stingray Specials aren't as wildly bright as the previous iteration of the Stingray which really attracted me to them. They were still fairly 'zingy' with the previous strings I had tried and the B string was a bit too dull when going up to 135. I decided to give these a go and they are perfect. They work so well with how the 5HH sounds and I can dial in the exact tone I want/need without having to worry about being overly bright (but I still can be if needed!). Overall, great set of strings, really helped with this basses versatility. Even with the .125 B string, it didn't feel like a floppy noodle like some 5s I've experienced.

I love these strings!
After reading many reviews on DR strings I gave them a try on my P-bass. As I said above "I loved them". I had been using stainless steel strings on my Spector 5-string for many years. I tried the Lo-Rider Nickel and again "loved them". I really like the feel and they really stay in tune. Don't know about longevity as I haven't had them on too long so will have to let you know on that. They do cost a little more but if they last as reviewed it should be well worth it.After 5 months of play 2-4 times per week these strings are usually in tune rightout of the case and still feel and sound great. Now my experience is the sound ofbass strings will change very slowly so it is sometimes difficult to really hear the difference until they are changed but so far I highly recomend DR. In fact Ihave orderd more I like them so well.

Strings are subjective and these are one of my favorites.
They're high tension strings which I personally prefer, but some may like a lower tension string. I've used these on and off over the decades, depending on if I want a very bright string with lots of harmonics. A very specific sound and not versatile. For certain types of music they can have too much harmonics and can sound too metallic. It depends on what type of music that you play and based on that the strings might be great or be the wrong sound.Overall I've always appreciated the quality of these strings. The Tite-Fit makes it feel a lot smoother than the typical round wound which is a plus.

My Long-Time Favorite
I've been playing bass for 15 years now and, needless to say, have gone through just about every string there is. I always come back to DR Nickel Lo-Riders for their tone, tension, and longevity. They sound and feel excellent on my Lakland 55-02D, which has a 35" scale, and perform equally well on 34" scale basses. Another plus is the consistency of their product. With other brands (EB and D'addario), I've experienced quality variations from set to set, which I hate, but not so with DR. Bottom line: you can't go wrong with these strings! 5 stars.

So far, so good
I finally replaced the stock strings on my Carvin (I was way overdue). After some research, I decided to go with these. I play mostly gospel/r&b style, but I needed versatility for when I play in the pit of musicals that may require a rock, doo-wop, etc feel. So far, I've been happy with these strings. They were a bit brighter than I expected, but I imagine that as the oils from my hands build up a bit, they will get that low thump characteristic I've been looking for.If anyone has any suggestions for other strings that fit my style, I'd love to hear them.

DR nickel wrap bass strings
The Dr nickel wraps have been difficult to obtain, Finally they're here. The quality is what you'd expect from DR strings. The tone is the factor here, the nickel sounds a little more organic, and not so harsh. They aren't wimpy either, I find they are more balanced than the stainless and fit into the groove of the music quite effortlessly. The five string set I'm using has the low b, and it doesn't have that false sound when you take some of the bass off. Very nice.

I play bass for 35 years and this is the best set of bass strings I ever had
I'll be short. I play bass for 35 years and this is the best set of bass strings I ever had! Use to play Sunbeam, but these are much better then them. Best strings on the market for sure.
