Fabian was the epitome of the teen idol, no musical experience whatsoever, in fact he was signed purely for his youthful good looks. Of course the fact his songs emanated from such Pop songwriters as Doc Pomus and Mort Schuman who wrote especially for him, didn't do him much harm either. Here Jasmine present four and a half albums, the half being 'The Hit Makers' record which he shared with fellow oik, Frankie Avalon. (Frankie's tracks can be found on Jasmine's Frankie Avalon CD - JASCD 250). Contains most of his hits from this period of his career including "Turn Me Loose", "Tiger", "I'm A Man" and "Hound Dog Man". Complete with fully detailed liner notes.

This is among my dumbest purchases.
This is among my dumbest purchases. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered this. It is of no musical interest and very limited sociological interest. There are plenty of entertainers who are not to my taste, but their product indicates a strong professional commitment to the audience. They treat the audience with affection and respect -- these are performers such as Frankie Avalon, Bobby Vinton, and Bobby Rydell. Nothing bad to say about them or their cds. They are not to my taste. So be it. But this -- urgh!
