I gave this 5 stars, but really it’s about a 4.5. That being said it’s been great thus far. The coated steel line is great and the mounts are very secure and stout. I was impressed with the overall quality of it. My only mark down was the little Allen wrench. I used one from my tool kit that worked much better.Install was pretty straightforward. I mounted the two ends to opposing walls. The length of 16.5’ for one line was perfect for my install. I still have a complete wire kit left over. I did use both corner supports, which I mounted into the rafters studs, definitely need supports for a long span.Hard to beat his kit for the price. I only had one issue and that was when the wire popped out and the curtains came down with it. This happened the day after install. The small rubber end piece slid off the wire and it came down. It was technically my fault, as I didn’t get it tight enough. But the included Allen tool started to round off and didn’t get it super tight. This is where I ended up using a matching bit from my tool kit and put it in a ratcheting screwdriver and tightened it really good. No issues since.We’re usin it as a room divider to create a temporary bedroom for my child. She loves it and it's working out great for us. I mounted one corner support in the center of the main span which is around 13’. The next corner support was mounted a little over 3’ from the end. This allowed the corner support and the wall mount to create a doorway. The main span used patterned gray/white curtains as the “wall”. The 3’ span “doorway” has dark gray curtains to distinguish it as the entryway.I plan to occasionally check the mounts and tighten the wire. I am hopeful this lasts as long as we need it to. So far it fits the bill and the price is hard to beat.

Bought this to hang up sheets under my sons loft bed. I have used similar products in the past for shears on my porch and basement. Concept is great and does and it does the job. These work well with very lite weight curtains or shears. Don’t set your expectations so highCons- difficult to install and install correctly- must have heavy duty wire cutters to cut the wire to length.- difficult to get the wire to fit right and tight into the end pieces- difficult to get the correct tension on the wire- won’t support heavy curtain- must be carefully not to pull to tightly on the curtains or the wire could come out of the supports

Okay, Amazon. Why do you keep selling junk? The threaded bases and the threaded standoffs aren't even close to working together. The threads are way off. I suppose if I had a machine shop at my disposal, I could make these work. What's most troubling is that others have reported the same issue and yet Amazon continues to sell this defective product.Rated at one star only because zero isn't an option.

We absolutely love our new Art Gallery thanks to these curtain wires. We basically didn’t follow the instructions. We used wood screws and installed them in the studs. We then took the plastic part off the wire and it gripped in better. The Allen wrench is a little flimsy, so I can see where that would cause stripping easily, and we kept that in mind when we installed it.

An absolute nightmare to use. No instructions and to be able to use them you have to find your own mounting hardware...which is another pain. There are no instructions anywhere of how to actually use them to install them as curtain rod set with corners (such as in a bay window, the entire purpose I purchased the set) and the paper instructions included are beyond useless. I realized after purchasing them they are an IKEA prodocut and probably are better suited for use as displaying pictures (just paper photos) or something else extremely light. Nothing that needs to actually be tightened or puts actual tension on it...it takes hours to put together and in the end it is simply not designed to hold up regular curtains. A waste of money.

I purchased this wire curtain rod to build an art display for my children’s art work and it came out great. My wife found ideas online of ways to display the kids work and we decided to buy this wire curtain rod set. I am not an expert but I owned the needed tools for installation such as a drill, drill bits, a hammer, and a screwdriver. The kit did not come with any Sheetrock anchors so a trip to the hardware store was required. Installation was fairly simple and took about an 1 1/2 hours to complete. I am really happy with the outcome. Would have given 5 stars if it came with all the needed hardware for installation

Acceptable value, but not the same as Ikea.These are very similar, but the thread is coarser and it is harder to work with compared to the Ikea set that I bought. It is working however, no severe problems. Just harder to install.

These worked out better than expected. The downside is that they are slightly difficult to install on your own, but totally doable. Another downside is that if you are putting up drapes with grommets, they need to be put on the cable before you finish the installation, meaning that removing them to clean will be a little difficult. The installation instructions were a bit hazy (diagram based instruction), but in the end, guided me well! They look great!
