Just right
Anyone who needs to cart around their diabetic supplies knows how frustrating it can be to find just the right setup that holds all your stuff without being so cumbersome it feels like you're packing for a vacation. This nifty little bag seems to fit the bill quite nicely!I just received mine a few minutes ago and couldn't wait to put it to the test, since I have several nice packs that are just a bit too small. It was easy before with just a meter and test strips, but once you need to carry insulin and sharps along with all the other stuff it becomes a whole new search. Here's what I decided to pack to see this bag would perform in case I'd want to return it:1 container test strips1 tube glucose tablets (10 pcs)1 glucose meter5 sharps1 lancing device5 alcohol wipes5 spare lancets1 bottle insulin1 ice pack (comes with the bag to help protect your insulin)As much as I wanted to sneak a couple beers in there as well, I decided against it for this test. The bag holds all the above items with ease, and still has ample space for additional items if need be. With the zippers closed the dimensions remain at 7.5" long x 4 1/4" wide by about 2" high- there's an extra pocket on the top which makes it vary from 2" to 2 1/2". Pretty compact for what it holds, actually. While it has one main opening, there are two zipper pulls with easy-to-grasp rings, making it very convenient to open. Quality is good, I have no doubt it will hold up over time.I am adding a pic with it loaded as I described, hopefully it will help others decide if this will work for them as well.

3 years hard abuse.
Ok so I was diagnosed as type 2 3 years ago. Very overwhelmed about all this "stuff" I had to now have on my person all the time. Pen needles, syringes, vials, meter, Lancets, strips, insulin pens, alcohol wipes and sugar pills, regular pills. Not to mention some small snack. And I have to have this all the time every time. Arrggg. Prior to that I was a wallet keys phone in pocket good to go anywhere kinda gal. That said I needed something small to hold all this stuff I HAD to have oh wait plus a log book. I went shopping and came across this. 3 years I have abused this little bag stuffing it full. It has held up wonderfully. Until now, unfortunately a seam started to give out about a week ago and one of the 2 zippers came off the track. There are two so I can still close it but it is time to replace it. I had black before it was the only option. Reordering this time in floral because why not.I give 4 stars since things can shift. But it holds more then you think. The lid has 2 sections in the back I keep alcohol wipes, tweezers (i have had needles snap off in skin so these are important), blister pack meds, and floss toothpicks. In the front part I keep spare lancets (in an old test strip bottle), old lancets in a different bottle (until I get home and can load in my big sharps) and used pen needles that have been recapped again until I can put in sharps container at home. In the base which has 2 parts separated by a strip that Velcro at each end in the back I have 2-4 insulin pens (if one is about to run out I stock the next to be ready since I take 2kinds well...) a slim nail file, 1 each pen and pencil. Then in the front(which I pack with a left and right side to help with sliding) left I keep meter (it is a small skinny one) bottle of glucose tabs the little ones that hold 10 which I refill from a big Costco bottle. On right My lanceting device, I bottle of test strips a small square pill box (mini altiods box since it is just right size for me) then I have a small baggy of pen needles and a log book that lay flat between the lid and bottom. On the outside there is also an open pocket where I keep 1-2small hard granola bars ( soft ones like nutrigrain get smooshed.) And a chapstick. I take 4+ shots per day and have had all my supplies for a 3 day weekend away in this bag. I do generally keep a box of extra needles and strips in suitcase and the big glucose bottle just to be safe. But sometimes I do not even need to use them. This bag is a trooper. And three years of shove it full abuse well worth the price. Note at one time I also had syringes and vials but thankfully Dr put me in pens instead.

It's not bad at all
UPDATE: 2013-06-15I've been using this product for about 3 months now. It has handled my insulin needs well. My initial complaint was that it did not have sufficient space to carry my blood testing supplies as well.Well, every now and again, I review my carrying options. Always trying to squeeze a little more space out of my every carry methods. I was looking that this pouch again. I noticed that the velcro divider, for the main compartment, isn't solid. (I'm sure I noticed this before, but I wasn't thinking about how beneficial this could be.)I realized that I COULD place all of my testing supplied under this divider. The supplies fit perfectly. I then layed the insulin pens on top and voila!. Everything fits in one pouch. Now this isn't exactly perfect, since the pens are not as secure as before. It is however workable and that is what I need at the moment. So, I increased my rating for this product. It DOES do what it claimed.---------------------------------------OK. It was probably my fault that I did not do more research ... maybe.I bought this to carry my insulin pens, gluco-meter, and the rest of mydiabetic supplies. I was hoping that there would be more organization(pockets) to help me organize my daily supplies. Alas, it only has threecompartments: a cooling sleeve (for the ice pack); a partially velcroedpocket (I assume for pens, needles, and syringes); and the remainderpouch is basically wide open. (There is a small velcro divider, but it isn'tparticularly functional.)There is no room for a glucose meter, or the associated supplies. Even ifthere was space, there isn't enough internal organization to make it worththe effort.I'm torn between returning this pouch or finding another user for it. I wanthave a single pouch/container for these supplies; and this isn't going to cutit.
