While I was wearing my boot for 6 weeks I figured it would be a good idea to have a spare pump on hand in case I lost or damaged the one the Aircast boot came with. It arrived very quickly and well packaged. I tried it and it was every bit as good the one that came with the boot which I must say held up very well. It was however still a good idea to have a spare on hand!

This Works For My Berg Aircast Cam Boot!
I have a Berg Aircast Cam boot that my Orthopedist gave me which had the air pump. I lost the one the pump Orthopedist gave me and searched for a Berg brand pump but didn’t find anything online. I bought this to give it a try and it works well. I put tape on the top which lets air out on the inflate side and it worked well. That’s the white on the product picture. I took a picture of the type of boot I have and the type of spout (I guess that’s the term for it) that my boot uses. I plan on buying another to keep at home in case I lose another one. I recommend!

Horrible!
Got this as a back up for the original "gray" pump that came with my son's AirCast. I wanted to have an extra in case one got lost. It's horrible. I don't know why this one has the black opening that you need to cover with your finger while you pump. Even when you cover the opening, it still doesn't work well to pump up the walking boot. No wonder AirCast provides a different pump with the actual product. One positive: my son hated this back up so much that he was extremely careful not to lose the original one.I think the reviewers giving this four and five stars don't have the original one and are just happy for something. You should only buy this if you are desperate and don't have anything else. Look for the original gray one without the black opening first.
