I purchased this just to have the scratch-off maps because they were cheaper in this packet (at time of purchase) than purchasing them alone. I'm reasonably happy with the maps. They're tiny and the way they're divided up is a little awkward, but the scratch-off aspect works.I'm glad I wasn't buying it primarily for the journal, though. For something that comes with a full set of world maps, there isn't a lot of space to record one's travels (unless you don't have much to say!) The 4 or 5 pages for 'photos and mementos' are hilariously inadequate for even a day trip. The cover is heavy and stiff cardboard that is little too yielding to make a suitable writing surface, but stiff enough to be awkward to handle.The whole business comes in a cardboard case/folder which solves the writing surface issue; but the totality of journal cover and sleeve is heavy and unwieldy. It's hard to slip the book or the maps back into their pockets in the cover because of the thickness of the folded cardboard corners. I imagine there might be room for a few more journal pages if the maps and journal were all in one, rather than in a space-wasting slipcover.Finally, how much one likes the texture of this set depends on one's feelings toward books covered in paper grocery bags.

I love this scratch book. I'm a traveler along with my friends and I love recording our memories together. I loved it so much that I ended up buying 5 books for my friends. Every place we visited we can scratch it off the map, write details of our adventures and post pictures. This is a perfect gift for those who love to travel.

Bought this for my girlfriend who loves to travel and goes on international trips at least twice a year. She absolutely loves this. The product arrived on time and we received exactly what we purchased on Amazon. The only thing we see that is an issue with this is the lack of pages to right notes. After one or two trips, you start to run out of notes/space to write your thoughts about the trip. Other than that, great product for people who love to travel.

The packaging is pretty nice but the black ink is not aligned with the maps and that makes it look a bit bad, it is really hard to scratch the areas with a lot of text.

Ordered this travel journal for a trip I was taking. I specifically ordered the blue, but red came! I didn't have time to contact the vendor before leaving on my trip, but upon my return I was in contact with the vendor, who explained that there was a mix-up with the ordering, they kindly (and quickly) sent a blue version to me. Very satisfied with the product. A nice compact journal, good for keeping notes on where I'd been and what I'd seen etc. The scratch off ended up being a little gimmicky. Wish the maps were a little larger. Overall, good travel journal.

This was a really cool gift, but the description is somewhat misleading. I thought it would come with a blank journal for writing about your travel adventures, but it only comes with the booklet of 300 adventures and the scratch-off maps. There is no space in the booklet for your own notes.

What a neat book! This is definitely for anyone who loves to travel. I love the scratch off maps to show how many places I've visited and it shows me exactly how many more places I need to go! Wonderful for yourself or as a gift for a traveler! I think it would also be great gift for a parent to give a child of all the places they've traveled to!

Purchased as a gift for my sister who is a frequent traveler. I figured it was a great way to document her travels and she loved it.

I am utterly disappointed in the fact that these maps include 2 of Eastern Eurasia for some stupid reason and not South America. South America was the map that I needed the most and I am so upset that it's not in here. Instead, you've got North America split into 2 sections, like they aren't full oc themselves already. I'm not buying this again and I know I'll need to somehow get South America as my OCD will get the best of me for the incomplete map. So, take my money, just because you can't package your maps properly. I've read previous 1 star reviews with this exact problem occuring to them to. I will be emailing for a solution from your company.

You certainly expect much much better quality when you pay £15 for a notebook!Stay away and buy something more useful and worthwhile. May be better buy a traveling scrapbook.

I bought this for my fiance who loves travelling. He has a big scratch map which he enjoys updating each time we go on holiday, but I thought this would be a great present that we could use for planning our honeymoon and keeping a record of it.The maps and book are really cool and will make a great keepsake of our travels that we can look back at alongside our wedding book in years to come.The book has loads of great pages with checklists, planning and space for details and photos, so you can not only use it as a diary on holiday but also put information on where you're planning on going, like a little organiser.The whole set is really cute and well made and has that great retro feel to it.

Don't buy this.The "journal" version is a cheaply printed booklet stapled together, with the map divided in tiny cards.Be also ready for ideas like so many swim with sharks, deep sea diving, ice diving, handgliding, etc. Not quite a travel journal with suggestions of places to go ; more like someone cliché bucket list copy pasted off Google.

I brought this item as a gift for a friend of mine who likes to travel and was planning on going to Australia for a year. She loved the gift, she thought it was an excellent idea as I did when I brought it. The scratch maps are great for anyone who likes to keep track of where they've travelled. I only got to see the inside when my friend opened it herself and my only critique would be more diary space in the book. I know the item is taking into account of condensing space for being able to travel with it but overall the packaging is great to keep everything together and my friend even managed to put her A5 sketch book in it too that I brought her. The only downside is the price, I do think it is a little much for what you are getting but overall a brilliant idea for a traveller!
