Tanita Corp = Worst Company of 2020
For a $6,500 scale—we purchased the full package—you would expect excellent customer service: WRONG! Through multiple phone calls with the President of Tanita, it became quite apparent that the company has the worst customer service of any organization today. The President was combative, not timely, and disregarded all customer complaints. His response to the software issues, since Tanita has outdated software and firmware, thus disabling the ability to connect to any IoT device that has up-to-date OS software, was that the "company sells thousands of units". The Tanita company clearly focusses on a bottom line, and without any regard for individual customer service. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING FROM TANITA. The worst company award of 2020, per their awful customer service and outdated software/firmware, should go to Tanita.
