The hood id perfect
When i first received the hood i thought it was the wrong item for my Intrepid wood stove. The original part seemed larger. I realized the back plate was so worn and warped so i ordered the back plate and its perfect now. My stove is burning slower and hotter now.

Order this from the UK for my Vermont log burner. Good quality spare and as describe delivered ahead of time at a reasonable price. What's not to like?

Not wide enough to stay in place, falls in
There are a couple of "ears" at the top of the casting that are supposed to hold it in place in the Fireback. These ears do not extend far enough left to right. One engages but the other does not allowing the piece to become dislodged and fall into the combustion chamber. This piece was obviously not designed to fit an actual Vermont Castings Intrepid II stove.
