Belt is comfortable, fairly easy to use, the buckle is a little tight but will loosen with time
Needed to upgrade my leather construction pouch belt, which had leather pouches, but a nylon belt, which had a terrible buckle/catch that would loosen and the belt would slip off my hips with heavy tools. Cut off the nylon belt, drilled holes in the old pouch assembly and the new leather belt, and riveted the 2 together to improve function, and it is working so much better, The leather belt is textured on the inside, which helps. Only downside is I have to buckle the belt behind me, which is no big deal, with the pouches in front. The old nylon belt had a clip buckle which was easier and quicker to use, but would slip, and was annoying. Pleased so far with the purchase. Trimmed the belt to size.

Lasted me at least 5 years, works as a regular belt or tool belt.
I really like this belt, I'm surprised by some of the other reviews, its not very stiff but it feels tough and like it will last for a very long time, I wear size 36 pants and I decided not to even cut the belt to size because it loops around and sits nicely within my belt loops though I imagine it would be easy to cut to size.Edit 2020: I thought this belt had an over sized buckle that was digging into me leaving a mark like a rash, it turns out I'm just fat and any belt will do this, it's the metal having a reaction with my skin. I'm not incredibly over weight but I have enough of a belly that belts will do this to me. So I'm changing my score from 2 stars to 5, because that has nothing to do with the belt, I've actually changed careers and I'm an electrician now so I still use this belt as a tool belt for my tool pouch, it's been at least 5 years and it's still holding up well, this is a great belt, you could wear it as a normal belt or a tool belt as long as you're not wearing a full set of bags, if you are I recommend going for a 3 inch belt. Amazon reminded me of this review so I figured I should update it and I might buy a new one because this has been a great product.

Cheaper is not always better
My husband is a carpenter and has nothing good to say about this belt. We choose it for the price but now wish we would’ve spent more money and got nicer leather. Cheap leather and felt like cardboard to wear

All around good deal.
This belt is probably the best deal you will find for stand alone leather belts. But because of the lower price it's also lower quality. It's not bad but could be better coming from CLC. The inside of the belt is rough unlike the smooth outside. It doesn't bother me any but it may bother somene who likes an easily slideable belt for their tool rig. Over time the leather at the buckle area will start to darken from the combined sweat and wear which I think adds character but it happens too soon. The only actual problems I have with it is unbuckling it and the lack of decent cushioning. It's thinner than other leather belts I've seen but it's cheaper so I can't really complain however unbuckling this is nigh impossible without lifting it up to relieve tension or being hercules. If you need a tenporary belt go with this until you get a better one.

Nice belt for the price.
Purchased this belt as the finishing touch on construction worker Halloween costume. Intended to use it once and then give to someone who would use it for its intended purpose, ended up liking it enough to use as my everyday. I have a 32" waist so quite a bit of material was removed to make it fit properly. Treated it with mink oil and have been wearing it for 3 months now, and it's starting to develop a nice patina (I cringe when I use that word as it makes me sound like a hipster douche bag, which I assure you I am not). Deducted one star because belt holes are not quite parallel to each other, just a fraction of an inch off otherwise a very good product.

Like
My husband really liked this but did not work for the bags he uses on them for his job, so had to send back but he liked the feel of it and the comfort of how it sat on his waist.. Recommend

Up to 44" max
looks like it will do the job. But it said it fits to size 46, no way a tight 44 at the most.

Great product!
Very nice, trimmed it down, threw it in the oven at 400°F then slicked her down with Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP. Repeated the oven and Obenauf's treatment 4 - 5 times, put a nice golden brown color on it and really softened it up. This large width fits my Dickies denim and 5.11 cargo pants. Very thick chunk of hide I might add. If your looking for the perfect MAN belt, and you are willing spend a little time greezin' her up with a quality leather conditioner, I believe this might be the belt you have been looking for. Oh, it will definitely hold up as a work belt. Very stiff and thick leather, and the inside of the belt is rough and unfinished, love it!

Nice belt, one tiny gripe/suggestion
Nice belt, One tiny gripe: there is no loose/floating loop, only the fixed one near the buckle, therefore there is no facility to control the excess belt. I did found a way around this by stowing the surplus under the pouch I attached but a loose second loop would be useful. This is the manufacturer's issue not, of course, the Amazon supplier. The published picture is correct.

Holds my tool belt up!!
Works and fits great, a little lighter in colour than anticipated, but no big deal, price was good, does the job. Not sure how long it will last since I’ve only used it a week but I have high hopes

Why not put more holes for skinny people?
A decent product overall, but I would have been happier if I didn't have to make my own holes. I have a 32" waste
