Big Skinny Money Penny Coin Slim Wallet, Holds Up to 13 Cards

This is my second money and card wallet that I bought from Big Skinny. The first one was bought around 2009 and it lasted until 2023. The zipper broke and I had it repaired. But it didn’t work as the original zipper, so I decided to get a new one.The new one is a little bigger than the previous one and the money bills fit better than the old one. I love this.The new money wallet also has a key holder in the outside pocket which is excellent for having a backup key.The nylon material is very durable and machine washable.I recommend it if you don’t want to have bulky wallet.See the picture for comparison between the new and old version. The one on top is the new version.

While this would not be big enough for me for every day (I have the larger version of this same wallet for that), it was perfect for travel. It was small and slim (and purple!) and fit perfectly in the front zippered pocket of my cross body bag. It held my driver license, one credit card, health insurance cards, and a small amount of cash. Carried it all over Europe. Loved that it had a zippered change purse!

I’m on my second of these. The first one I used for seven years and it held up fine. The zipper pull eventually broke and it was so filthy, I figured I needed a new one. My new one has stitching around the clear sleeve coming out, so I am disappointed with the quality. The other issue is that the soft layer between coin compartment and where I put my cards means that I often cannot easily reinsert credit and other cards. I have to fiddle around with any change, etc. in the coin purse that are impinging on the main compartment. You may really like this wallet, especially if you like to have a coin purse despite the drawbacks I outlined. I thought it was the best. Now I am going to look for something else. Still 4 stars.

All these 5 stars, I've always thought 5 stars should really be used for something special, something ultra good and the general good rating should be 4 or even 3. But yes 5 is used for basically OK or better - OK I get it. However this really deserves a extra star as it is so versatile yet minimalist and does it right. I used to use a single compartment wallet, somewhat like this, it served me well but have felt the need to carry a bit more as life circumstances have changed. Tried a regular wallet for a few days - hated it, even though it was a high end hand crafted leather wallet. It was also a well intentioned gift. I appreciate the intentions and that gave me the encouragement to find the correct wallet.Pros: This wallet does everything I need, It's main compartment has ample room for cards and once folded bills. It is roomy for that, easy to separate big and small bills. The zipper opens the whole length, perhaps minus a millimeter, but it's a wide opening, so easy access. The secondary pocket is great for other items, I have a few small sized cards, about 1/4 the size of a normal bank card, a tile tracker device, an adapter for a lightning to headphone jack (Apple - yes I blame them), and a keyless entry car fob). It also has a keyring and loop which can be external (I don't think that is displayed but it's there and it works well). On the back it has a card slot. I was not sure what to do with that till I got it. I put my most used cards in there for easy access, which means I have to open it less. With all that it sits very flat, flatter then the affore mentioned leather wallet empty.Con's, I would like other color choices, Lighter colors allow more light to shine through and make it easier to find stuff.

slim, and will hold what you need to hold

It’s exactly as described—very small—just what I wanted. I use this to supplement my small wallet when I carry a bigger bag. I keep extra cash (fits perfectly folded in half) and a couple of membership cards I don’t use often, and coins! My small wallet has no place for coins for the rare occasion that I pay cash.The only thing I don’t understand is that there’s a key ring on a very short lead in the small front zipper pocket. The lead it’s on is so short I can barely get it out. I can’t imagine what purpose it was designed to serve, so I’m going to cut it out of there.Like all Big Skinny products, it’s well made and I’d recommend it.

Wife makes fun of me but honestly the best wallet I've ever owed. Love it. Love everything about it. After work when I get off the train I'm usually digging around my backpack for my house key. Not anymore thnx to my new wallet. Fits all my cards plus more. Can't say enough great things about it really. Just a great purchase at a great price.Updated review. It's only been about a month and both zippers are now busted. So yes it's a great wallet design but unfortunately it doesn't hold up well. Oh well. At least it didn't cost much.
