SUUNTOCore, Outdoor Sports Watch, Black Yellow, One Size

Bought this “like new” and basically it was NEW for all intents and purposes. Could not see any signs of wear. Included all printed materials, manuals etc. All functions as intended and all features work. There is a little bit of a learning curve on all of the functions which will take a few minutes to figure out. The display is a little dark and it is hard to read symbols as they are tiny. The temp function seems to about 6 degrees off even when placed upside down or hanging by buckle with no part of the Watch body touching anything. The other features seem to work well. The compass is very accurate and has been checked against my military issue compass. I am dubious about the water resistances of this watch after seeing the way it is sealed in the battery compartment. The display is visual with NVG (when back light is on) even without the IR illuminator. It does reflect the IR back to you so be careful when you have the illuminator activated. The display is not viewable without the back light when using NVG. Overall it is a great watch and well worth the price. The battery life is a little bit of a concern but the ease of replacement makes up for the 6-10 month battery life. We will see if the mil spec certification is actually valid and warranted in time.

The media could not be loaded. What I mean by the title is its the smartest watch that isn't hooked up to cell or Bluetooth. It is a feature rich survival watch that comes in handy when doing outdoor activities. Keep in mind this this is the "stealth" version meant to be a little less flashy. I kindly disagree with people complaining that it's too dark to read in the sunlight. The stealth version is meant to be... more stealthy. It's not going or be super bright and flashy and being a little more dim helps prolong the battery life. When clicking the button to activate the back light there is plenty of glow from it to read in any brightness. Highly recommend this awesome watch for outdoors people who want cool things like compass, altimeter, it even warns of pressure drops which could indicate a storm coming. Feels very rugged and the cloth band helps to breath a bit more compared to a rubber wrist band.

The stainless is the best version of this watch. Has all the basic functions you would want and is very well made. Kind of difficult to read depending on the light and not very bright when you turn on the light but no real complaints. Very nice watch. The stainless steel is the real deal that makes this watch special. Great price if you get the discount

After researching, I got the core Alpha stealth for my son (military)..... the Design is good, Delivery on Amazon was good... however, Just note that This watch is not tough enough for military training in sand and water environment The buttons stop working the watch stop working after 2-3 weeks of use.Amazon does not take responsibility for return after 30 days... we have to deal with the company directly by chat, that will lead you to another page that will ask you to ship back to watch to them for repair, looks like the shipping and repair cost will be on usI'm going to ship and pay for everything to repair the new watch and keep you posted on how SuuntoI gave one star because I feel misled by the description of the watch use...

I bought the brushed steel version and wish now I hadn't.The display was so dim I couldn't read it in all but the brightest interior light.For an outdoor watch intended for much different use, it was a greatdisappointment. I even adjusted the contrast to 15, the highest levelpossible and it still was useless.This was upsetting because the watch itself is well-made of qualitymaterials and felt good on my arm. Others will probably have betterluck with the less expensive version.This is one case where premium might not be better...

This is a nice simple watch...i have a few Gshock and this one gets put in rotation often...took a while to get the functions down, but not difficult....my only complaint if you will is the price tag...although i like it and wear it often, its over priced...i would buy another but not for over $ 80....120 is a bit much...Otherwise a good piece.Update....so i had this watch about 6 months and the battery has already died...kind of a drag...im sure it doesn't get a new battery upon ordering so wwho knows....either way still like and wear it

I had worn an original Suunto Core watch for years. It was by far my favorite out of my collection. I had debated buying this one for months. I finally pulled the trigger when it went on sale before Christmas. I had issues with the previous watches rubber wrist bands. They would typically break after a year or so of daily use. I was not willing to spend $60 for a factory band, so I replaced with aftermarket, and it worked just as well. This new watch has a nylon strap that should prove to last much longer. The only downside is that it is more prone to twisting on my wrist. It is however more comfortable to wear overall. The face is easy to read except in bright sunlight. The red backlight is a cool feature. Everything else works like you would expect from Suunto. Be advised that these watches use at least one battery a year. I keep a couple of spares in my briefcase and in the tool drawer at home.

This is my daily watch and Iove it after several months. A perfect daily watch for somebody who doesn't want to deal with charging a smart watch but wants a lot of the same functions. Functions are easy to setup like sunrise-sunset and everything else, box came in great condition. I wear it hiking, surfing, swimming, just about anywhere and it has passed every test without failure. Dial still spins great and sand has not crept in anywhere. Highly recommend it.

The Suunto Core All Black Military model is an excellent watch, make no mistake about it. Although a large watch (case diameter=50mm), it feels light on the wrist and is relatively flat, so long sleeves easily slide overtop.It pretty well has all the standard features you’d expect in an outdoor watch—the usual time and date, countdown and stopwatch; on this model, the altitude and barometer are big features along with a compass setting, temperature (only accurate if watch is not being worn). Each of the “main compartments” have multiple sub-compartments.This watch, in my opinion, is very good looking—Suunto goes for the sleek and discrete look vs a heftier, bulkier look like the Casio lineAs to why I didn’t rate this model as 5 stars is the reason you’ll read with every review—it can be tricky to read due to the subdued numerals against a black background. When outdoors, even with polarized sunglasses, I didn’t have a problem reading the watch, but in the shade, or indoors, it can be a challenge, especially if you have aging eyes like mine. It’s apparent Suunto minimized “illumination” on this model—after all, they do call it a ‘all-black military’ model.They do carry other models with black numerals against a white background.Lastly, just in case you might have missed it, this model has been prominently featured in several action-adventure movies, most notably, the 2 Equalizer movies with Denzel Washington—using his Suunto All Black Military watch, he employs the stopwatch to “time” his fights/confrontations—the numerals are big and in the centre of the watch—this DOES NOT exist in this watch!! So, don’t be lulled into buying the watch for this feature. I’ve read that Suunto is actually considering manufacturing a so-called “Equalizer” Model, based on what you see in the 2 movies but as of this posting, it does not exist as yet or whether it ever will be made.Suunto has been around a long time and they have a top-of-the-line reputation for their outdoor watches. This model fits right in with that reputation—It’s very popular, ,and is often in short supply or backordered for a reason—it’s a great watch whether you’re an avid outdoors person or not!!!

Very surprised at the cheap looking nature of this watch. Cheap plastic bezel and case.The compass feature is not accurate, even after doing the '15 second orientation' before every use.The temp doesnt work if wearing it as it picks up your body heat (was always 27C, even when 6C outside). It requires you to put it on your pack or clothing.The backlight goes out way too soon. Wish you could change the length of time the backlight is active for.Also, hard to see the time in the evening, when sun is going down.Overall, for $400, not worth it. This is a $125-150 watch at most.

Bought this watch and its what I was looking for, and made in Finland is a bonus!No problem at all reading the watch in any mode.
