Our Minecraft loving kid LOVED this book! Fun with a side of education.
My child was burned out and would sigh and complain when it was time to do math. We took a break from our regular curriculum and tried this simple, fun book. It reignited their desire to learn! Several of the tasks are elementary, but it was still enjoyable for our 5th (now 6th) grader. I wish there were higher levels of this book -- we would buy them!

Loved it, wish it was longer
My son finally found a workbook that caught his attention and held it. Wish it was WAY bigger because he did the entire book in 3 days. As a parent, yay for love of learning... but ouch on cost of a 3 day workbook, lol. My guess is its because he is 12, and at the end of the use age for it... but being Autistic, he has always been a little more immature, so finding interesting enough workbooks that are at a middle school level is so hard. It's like companies feel like once a kid hits 6th, they shouldn't have interesting looking books. He particularly loved the challenges to build using specific bricks. He loved showing off his skills. Hopefully he likes the other Miecraft workbooks I found from Funschooling.

So far so good
This is an activity book with early years math activities on each page. It has dot to dot, mazed, coloring pages, and minecraft challenges for in-game building. It’s kind of the educational material version of food hiding. This is very far below grade level for my son BUT it’s valuable because he struggles with being able to follow directions and do tasks in order (it’s a feature of his disability) so we really appreciate these stress free, minecraft themed tasks. It’s not for everyone, in my opinion, but it’s like it was made for us.

To easy
For the cost I expected more. Even the minecraft projects don't explain how/ what they are suppose to be learning. For example they are suppose to build something with 64 bricks, I assume its suppose to support applied multiplication, an 8×8 square but my son didn't get that as a takeaway at all. There's nothing for parents to help back up or explain concepts. Fill in a speech bubble and color the character is busy work, not learning. They also have numerous large grids to figure out really, really simple problems. Not only not useful but no practice with the concept.I was expecting more from a work book.If you have a child who struggles doing work at all this might be helpful or if you just need physical paper to show you have them do busy work. I was really hoping these would be more learning for the cost.

Great for young Minecraft lovers!
My 4th grader for whom math isn’t easy really enjoyed this book as a review at the beginning of the school year. What I thought might take her a month, she put her mind to and polished off in one week! She enjoyed it so much she was doing the book at her own chosen, very fast pace!

Good but might be better depending on your child.
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this on January 2nd and my 8yo daughter just finished the book. Part of me feels that is ok, the other part of me realizes that she sped through it so fast that it would be soooo expensive to buy one of these every month to satisfy her desire to keep doing them.If your child struggles in math and you want a fun way to keep them engaged, this would probably be amazing. We don't do traditional curriculum and do a lot of child based learning in our home, and this was just too easy and too quick for my daughter. She did have fun with it though, so I will not judge it based on that. Her having fun and practicing math means more to me than the "level" or difficulty.Overall it has some pages that practice simple (up to 2 digit) addition and subtraction problems, some dot to dots counting by different numbers, some word problems, fun cubes to color and make and coloring pages with a quote to fill in. My daughter really wants the other Minecraft math book by Thinking Tree, but we are going to wait until it goes on sale to get it since I fear she will zoom through that one faster as it's only meant for 2nd to 4th grade.Uploading a video of some of the pages. My daughter is planning on coloring and gluing the blocks to cardstock so when she folds them they are a bit sturdier. She has no desire to color the rest of the pages, which is fine. She loves coloring and loves minecraft but she said it was fun enough without coloring anything.

Definitely worth the money!
We homeschool & I'd purchased these workbooks to be used over the summer. Well, they didn't make it. My son loved it so much, he finished it already & asked for another one! It's really nice to have them ask to do their work instead of fighting with them to get it done.

Great for younger kids, add-on to curriculum
My son is 11 and a big fan of Minecraft. He enjoys this book; the challenges are fun and it's a nice supplement to our day. As a parent and homeschooler, I think these books could be better but if you're looking for a fun add-on, your child may enjoy this book. Perhaps the age rating is the issue here.

Good buy
My 9 year old who refuses to do school work absolutely loves this. He's actually voluntarily following a maths book! The only problem is its a little on the easy side so we need a level-up sequel please!!!

Times table dot to dot great idea
My son normally hates his times table practice. First thing he did was times table dot to dots. Amazingly happy makes math practice enjoyable for parent and child.

Not a lot of learning
Do NOT get this if you want your children to actually learn math.
