This produces fine finish on steel and brass and aluminum and really almost any metal. On brass sometimes I go for the finer red compound afterwards.First I sand my steel with wetordry paper from 220 up to 1000 then I use this, you have to do this until 1000 grit cant just jump to the compound it will not work with a rough surface.This compound is used with a cotton buffing wheel when it spins you rub this against it and it melts then you buff. Great compound for sharpening wood working tools. I use it on strips of leather to sharpen my woodworking tools. It is a course compound among those like it.

Just the thing. Will lightly cut without scratching. I use it to dress my knife sharpening wheel for a polished and razor edge.

Good as a 1st or second grit Rouge for all metals , gets out imperfections and polishes , finins off with white and simi chrome

Was what I expected and it came quick. Product worked very well and I have other grades of the polishing compound as well. I will order them again when needed.
