Great Product, Great Speeds, easy to setup, plug and play wonderful
So, I just upgraded my home to 5.4 gigs upload and download and my house is hard wired for 10+ gigs so I wanted to update my 1 gig room routers to 2.5 and 10g. So, my ISP Router has 10g ports and 2 2.5g ports. 1 10g port goes into the Fiber Modem from my ISP I wanted my office to have a full 10g so I added one of these into that room and plugged the 10port into my wall, which goes directly to a 10g port of my Home Smart Switch (which supports 10g and 2.5 ports). so my office gets a full 10ggs then each device in there is plugged into the 2.5 gig ports and all my machines are newer, support 10gs, but as they are plugged into the 2.5s they all get 2.5 I am truly happy with this. Looks great, works great, price is great there are no negatives I can find right now.

Perfect for use
I thought I would not find a switch like this one (replaces one no longer made by manufacturer). The status lights on the front panel, ethernet and power connections on the back panel, small footprint to place on a desk, and an affordable price is perfect. Plug and play use. Durable metal case. Easy to see status lights in a brightly lit area. The switching performance is fine and does not seem to need as much connection power rebooting as the previous one. Affordable to buy multiple spares for future use. Highly recommend!!!

Unobtrusive, reliable, and durable
I’ve had good success with all my TRENDnet switches (about 8 of the over the past 7 years). This one is sturdy and I love that it doesn’t have blinking lights! It’s wall mountable and sturdy. Have had no issues with any of them after 7 years. Speeds are good. Does not seem to slow down internet or cause cut outs even though I gave several of them daisy chained throughout the house. 5 stars, sorry NetGear.

Still works years later
I have had this little switch for years. Metal housing, rear facing ports make it good for desktop applications. It has been running non-stop for years, no issues.

Great Speed and throughput.. cables not so great
3.5 Stars. Because, everyone loves these cables and status lights on the same side, WHY? Every home setup I've ever done the cables go out the back, and the status lights are in the front. To make matters worse, the power cable plugs into the other side (now the front) so I have to tuck it back under the unit to go out the back, and all the status lights are also in the back with the cables. doopid!! Anyway, the switch performs well, it stays relatively cool although I'd rather have a fan inside for hot days. Perhaps it's just me, but my older 10/100/1000 units are setup correctly with power and cables in the back and status lights in the front. Other than all that, Its a great unit. Plug-and-Play Performance — Rock Solid for All My Devices
I bought the TRENDnet 8-Port 2.5G switch along with some Cat8 Ethernet cables, and it’s been excellent from the start. It worked right out of the box — no setup or configuration needed. I’ve got 8 different devices connected to it, including security cameras, streaming devices, and my gaming setup, and everything runs smooth with zero lag or glitches. The build quality is solid, and I really appreciate that it’s fanless — completely silent in my setup. The 2.5G speed is a great upgrade over standard gigabit, especially since it works with existing Cat5e and above cabling. The switch has handled everything I’ve thrown at it without even blinking. If you’re looking to expand your wired network with faster speeds and hassle-free setup, this switch is a great choice. Highly recommend it for both home and small office use.

Well-Made, Comprehensive Switch
The TRENDnet TEG-S591 has been working quite well replacing a Netgear GS108. I wanted an affordable, cool (temperature), 8-port switch (settled with 9 ports ;)) that supports at least 2.5G and found it. The switch is barely warm. I have a mix of 1G and 2.5G connections to it and have not seen any connection drops or errors. It is a little longer than the Netgear, but I have plenty of room for it. It feels solid with a good weight to it as the case is metal, not plastic. Cons (but mild): - I wish the ports were faster than 2.5G, but my current setup would not be able to use it anyway. At least, I can use the 10G port for the upstream connection (5G). - The orientation of the connectors has the latch on the bottom. I prefer it on the top like the Netgear has because it makes it much easier to press with your thumb downwards upon the latch for those troublesome connectors. - Having the LED above each port would be better instead of having to match the LED matrix to the left of all the ports to a specific port. One very important piece of information left out of the product documentation, TRENDnet's own website and the Amazon page: the 10G port also supports 2.5G and 10G. Zoom into the picture for the product, and you will see it listed on the front of the switch. I have a BrosTrend 5G (RTL8126) NIC connected to it which negotiated to 5G. This TRENDnet GREENnet unmanaged network switch comes highly recommended by me! Easy to use, plug-n-play, silent, compact, and great quality are some of the words and phrases I would use to describe this Switch. It is a Gigabit switch with a metal case. No connectivity issues and nothing to question. 5/5 * and recommended! It does exactly what was expected of it.

Pas évident de trouver un Switch 2.5G où l'on est sûre qu'il soit rétrocompatible 1G/100Mbps. Faciliter d'installation, qualité du produit.
