Great High Quality Product - Must Have For Student Pilot's That Use GoPro's
Really happy with this item, feels like a quality product that will last for a long time.I use this to record the audio to my GoPro Hero 4 Silver during my PPL lessons inside various PA-28 Piper Warriors.I mount my GoPro Hero 4 Silver to the aircraft ceiling centrally between the front pilot and co-pilot seats (near the air vents)The lead is more than long enough to reach to the rear seat headphone ports, even inside the PA-28 Piper Warriors that have the headphone ports located behind the rear seat. This lead also allows you to connect a power supply in tandem with the audio connection, I use this to connect a USB battery pack which vastly extends the battery life of the GoPro Hero 4 Silver. The audio is super clear with no interference.A must have for student pilot's that want to record audio to their GoPro's.I purchased this from the UK via the US Amazon site and product arrived within 5 working days.Highly recommended.

Great for flight instruction review
I absolutely love this cable. I've only used it for a total of maybe 3 hours but the sound is crisp and clear and it is, of course, very easy to set up. I'm using it to record my training flights so that I can go back and review them. I think this really helps because there is so much going on during the lessons that you are bound to miss something. Going back and reviewing them, with full cockpit audio (intercom and tower, etc.), is very useful, in my opinion. A C172 rental in my area is around $110, an instructor is something like $45, this cable is $35~$45....it pays for itself, if you are taking lessons, almost immediately!

Functions well, lacks durability
I fly in a DA20 with the gopro mounted to the ceiling and do not have an issue with length as some other report, the plug connections and gopro are very close. Audio is very crisp and works great. Build quality is a bit subpar, as the usb piece that plugs into the camera broke after the first use. It's likely from being bend at an odd angle when packing into bag but I still believe the cable for the price should be able to handle moderate stress. Overall, great item to have in the bag but would benefit from sturdier construction.

Overpriced and unusable.
I do not recommend this cable at all. It wouldn't charge my camera in flight using an external battery bank (which was tested and confirmed to work using a different cable). It also stopped working and gargled the audio, both being recorded, and coming into my headset about 30 minutes into my first flight using it. Being a student pilot with only 5 hours under his belt, I'm very glad that I had an instructor with me otherwise the distraction it presented in the cockpit could have made my flight very messy. I was hoping that this would have been a valuable resource for correcting my mistakes after each flight, instead, it hindered it to some degree. I've since returned it and purchased a stand alone recorder. I think this product is overpriced considering the faulty connection and the overall build quality. If it worked and worked well, then the price may have been easier to stomach. However, no amount of finagling could get the unit I received to work as intended. I wish I had seen all the other reviews like the one I'm writing now before I ordered it.

Exactly what you are looking for!
Works perfectly. I used this with a Bose A20 and GoPro Hero 4 Black plugged into and Anker Astro E7 battery. With a 64GB microSD card (and a full tank of gas), this will give you hours of 4K recording with clear audio. My setup: Hero4 Black hanging upside down using a Joby GorillaPod from the grab handle above the pilot's seat in a Diamond DA-40. I've seen a few reviews comment on the length of the cord, but I didn't find there to be any issues with this at all (potentially due to the aircraft I fly in).

Works well, length should be longer
Audio quality is good, but short-ish cable length really limits your cockpit mounting options. It barely reaches the roof above front seats and prevents any rear seat mounting completely. For a longer cable I use SummitLink ATC and works just as well.

Looks good.
I just got my cable in the mail and it was shipped straight from the manufacture. It was packaged in a plastic bag with instructions on how to use it. I have not used the cable yet to test clarity but it looks like it is pretty good quality. Some people have complained about the length but there is only one female jack for the head set where my headset has two so one jack will still have to go to the aircraft making it the same length as my headset cable.

the performance of this cable was excellent. Real-time and recorded audio quality was crisp and ...
Initially, the performance of this cable was excellent. Real-time and recorded audio quality was crisp and clear, and while I never used the charging feature, audio functionality was flawless. Reliability suddenly changed during a night flight, when headset audio was lost on downwind while waiting for a landing clearance. A quick switch of the jack out of the splitter and directly into the plane remedied the situation; however, I was fortunate to be the only aircraft in the pattern. Thinking that the issue was a loose connection or an inadvertent disconnection, I continued use of the cable on subsequent flights. The frequency of random audio loss worsened however, and the cable now stays on the ground. For context, the cable has no kinks, bends, jacket damage, or other signs of wear. The period between purchase and failure was less than six months, and multiple bench and alternate aircraft/headset tests were run in an effort to troubleshoot. I use a Bose A20 headset that is a little over one year old, and performs flawlessly when connected directly to the aircraft. While failure of the cable is frustrating, the lack of support response from Nflight is what finally prompted this review. Based on the multiple positive reviews on this site and glowing recommendations from people I fly with, I have no doubt that my cable is simply a lemon and not representative of the product itself. That being said, I have yet to be presented with an opportunity to have the manufacturer assist with a determination.
