DR Strings PURE BLUES Bass Guitar Strings (PB5-45)

Light gauge, easy to play, great tone. These strings rock!

I love these strings! I’ve been using them for at least 5 years. They sound amazing on my two 5 string Jazz Basses! And they last a long time. I do mostly studio recording and I probably keep my strings on longer than most but it’s because I love them sooo much!Out of the box they are bright but not harsh. Everything sounds like crystal clear water. You can hear every note and it makes you pay close attention to your technique. But I personally love the sound of them after they’ve been broken in after a few weeks. The character and tone you get from them is clear, warm and punchy! I play Gospel, R&B and CCM mostly and these strings give me exactly what I want. Best strings around in my opinion.

I’ve just started to take up bass after playing electric guitar for over 35 years. These are the right strings to start my beginner journey. They sound fantastic and are easy to play. The lighter gauge makes both left hand fretting and building up finger muscles on my right hand, a breeze. I might move up to thicker string gauges but for now these are perfect.

I put these on my new ibanez hollowbody because the strings that came with it were so tight. Wow very impressive. A must have.

This was the first time I've tried the Pure Blues bass guitar strings. I honestly would rank these strings as some of the best strings I've ever used.They have an excellent balance between the deep full bass sound and the clear highs without being too snappy. I use them on my Sire v5 jazz bass and they are a perfect fit with both sound and feel. I'm very happy that I tried True Blues, and will most likely use these strings in the future.

I don't really like the sound of them, but they're so easy to play. I recommend it when you have to record something tough to play.

The sound good and are both bright yet warm sounding after that you must keep them very clean after use they corrode rather quickly and will go dull sounding after the first week if you don’t take good care of them.

This is the 2nd or 3rd set I’ve ordered. They don’t disappoint. Even sound on all 4 string and they last a long time. after they lose their initial snap they start to sound even better.

Seit ich den ersten Satz dieser Serie aufgezogen habe, bin ich dabei geblieben.Vorher hatte ich lange Zeit andere DR-Saiten wie die Fatbeams, Black Beauties oder Low Riders drauf.Die Pure Blues haben für mich die optimale Kombination des Sounds dieser anderen Saiten bei für mich optimalem Spielgefühl.
