I was trying to block the sun/heat, and the curtains were just really ugly. I decided to use the tint to cover the ugliness of the thermal curtains, and I must say, it looks so much better. The tint is a little tricky at first, and I cant cut in a straight line to save my life, but it was doable with one person and it's not an eyesore. i was annoyed at the two windows i have by my front door as i had no privacy, so i decided to take a bet and get this film to see if i could DIY a privacy window... so I did. i got my xacto knife, a squeegee, a spray bottle and a prayer and i got to work... man, it was SO easy to install. i'd say the hardest thing was measuring everything, but if you leave some allowance when you're cutting, you can trim it as you're installing it. my nightmares of being stalked through the windows are a thing of the past now!another tip is: be patient, measure twice and cut once, make sure every surface is clean before starting.

My only complaint is that I wish that this somehow came with a cutting tool.Warning do not assume you’ll be fine with household scissors, unless they’re razor sharp it’s a noI got the job done with a metal credit card, a bottle of warm water and a tiny bit of hand soap mixed together, and one of those hand held razor holders.Not gonna lie it was a little annoying, only because the product is like cutting through rubber. I tried using fully open scissors but quickly had to find a razor for the job and it was still a little bit sketchy. Def need a utility knife or exacto knife of some kind for 0 difficulty but obviously my fault for not being prepared.For my window type it took about an hour start to finish, I’m happy with the outcome you can clearly make out anything held directly up against the film but from a few inches away it’s anyone’s guess, plenty for the distance walking beside the door in this hallway so I’m happy. Also it gives off doctors office or receptionist window vibes doesn’t look redneck or anything I can’t complain for the price either.If you have steady hands and some patience this product is sweet, finished my door and I still have a crap ton of film left for whatever else 4/5 recommended

This product is extremely effective in reducing the heat inside of my home, and it is not too highly reflective on the exterior. I was worried it may be an issue with my HOA, but it is not quite as reflective as it appears in the advertising pictures. The windows on the left side of the picture have the tint, but the one on the right does not. Perfect!

I’ve been putting reflective film on all my windows to keep the place cooler, buying whatever is on sale. This stuff is softer than others which means it stretches from its own weight if you’re doing long vertical runs. The plastic squeegee I’ve used on all the other windows can leave scratches in the film if I’m not super careful.All that said it made a noticeable difference when sitting near the window, so I’m generally OK with it.

This privacy window film looks great - I used it in both my kitchen and side door entrance as a way to have natural light come through with privacy.I purchased this item THREE TIMES! I kept running out of film but honestly, its a value for the money because of the price. The application was easy you just need a precision knife, and if you make a mistake it is easy to remove.The sunlight now peaks through my window giving natural light without removing privacy. Would recommend.

Like that privacy during the day as well my room feels lot cooler , I bought the black color and my room is little bit to dark, I’ll try a lighter color or my other bedroom, Easy to apply but hard to cut it straight, value for money

This was so easy to put on! We used it to add to our glass doors in the TV stand to hide games etc.There are bubbles, but they can’t be seen because there’s no sun behind. Definitely could have used a card to scrape them out.Had no issues with edges being uneven.Took off one star because we had to take the corners down, but otherwise love the product.
