Simple straightforward tool for a beginner
This is a flimsy simple piece of plastic. But can give your work a nice tidy finish because it helps you make even spaces AND helps you place your screws nice and evenly.I used this to place some floor planks on my kid's playhouse. I actually used 4 of them (so two packs of this item) for longer planks. It's cheap enough to do so. I'm not sure how it would stand up to heavier work. But then again I don't know if you'd be buying this to be used over and over for years

Easy to use and very helpful!
I bought 10 of these to use when installing 16' deck boards on my 12'x16' deck. It was the perfect amount. I found that not pulling the boards super tight against the spacer was ideal to getting the spacer out after screwing down the board. I used the claw of my hammer to gently wiggle them out. By the end of it I had 5 spacers left with the 1/8" spacer. The other 5 broke off because I pulled too hard and they ripped. Not a fault of the product, but rather the operator squeezing the deck boards too hard. The spacers also really helped get screw spacing correct and the results look REALLY good. Don't use a blue chalk line; it'll stain your wood. Get white if you can. If you're less precise like me, but still want good results, just keep your spacers over your joists (duh) and you'll be just fine.I don't think these would hold up to a professional deck installer day in and day out, but for the DIY crowd, they're perfect.

Great product but questionable quality
I ended up buying two of these because of the other comments. In regular use the product did snap off a few ends which made it difficult to continue using the other sides with differing widths. Overall it was worth it for the money and I would buy again, but just plan on it breaking through normal use.

Inexpensive, versatile, good for short spans of decking.
The local hardware and building supply stores sell tons of composite decking but none of the installation spacers. I rebuilt a small porch and installed composite decking using these spacers. They help provide consistent spacing with a choice of 4 thicknesses and the side tabs act as a jig to guide your fastener placement. Hint: putting a piece of tape on the tab opposite your desired spacing makes it easier to move along quickly.

Easy to carry, I'd recommend 2 packs
These little guys are great. I got these and the Bowrench and between the two they keep my deck game on point. No matter hidden fasteners or attaching straight into the face, these spacers work wonderfully. I've had mine for three years and they look brand new. I've built maybe 6 decks and a dozen porches with them. These, the Bowrench and a laser and you have the tools needed to build a beautiful deck.

Works Well for the price
Works very well, however, needs to be thicker between sizes as one broke off already

Deck Spacers resulted in uniform gap between newly installed deck boards
Bought these to use when replacing 450 SqFt of deck boards. They allowed for quick installation and uniform spacing of deck boards. Excellent return on investment. Tip is place tape on opposite leg of spacer being used to easily see which side to insert between boards. Bought two packs with 2-spacers per pack based on low price. Was good idea as leg tore one spacer due to tight squeezing. Would buy again if I have another large deck project.

Cheap and useful
I had to buy a couple different spacer systems, and these worked the best. More expensive spacers were just too fancy for their own good. These were cheap, simple, and lasted the project.
