Much Better than Cheaper Versions
I needed to connect to a serial device that operated at an unusual baud rate, and bought a number of USB/UART converters. This one is hands down the best, probably because it uses a real FTDI chip. Problems that I have had with other converters: (1) problems with higher-speed and non-standard-speed communications, (2) vcc problems (voltage not matching 3.3V, and dropping further with the slightest current draw), (3) difficult-to-read labeling. This converter worked flawlessly the first time. It has a convenient ribbon cable which is extremely helpful. It has a selectable voltage from 1-5 volts, and I believe (based on some data sheets) that I was consuming 250 mA at 3.3V.Anyway, despite the fact that it is a bit pricy, it just worked, which ultimately saved me a lot more money than the cheap ones. I liked it so much I ordered a second one.

Basic and cheap
Probably functions fine, but felt a little cheap. Most likely easy to use and compatible and connects with any USB ports.

FTDI based, variable voltage support, just works.
I bought this because it had the jumper setting for several voltage ranges, was clearly labeled, has a nice enclosure to avoid shorting, and is FTDI-based. I've bought three or four now and have no complaints.

Very good product
No problems, works beautifully. It was a little tricky finding the correct COM port but that's on me.

GREAT serial adapter
Hands down these are the best serial adapters I've used, and I've used a ton. In a case, not a bare PCB. Not a fake chip. Easy jumper setting to change output voltage to any (!) of 1.8/2.5/3.3/5v. Solid and well labeled (!!) pin headers for the signals, including (!!!) RTS/CTS and even a power output. Magnificent, will recommend to all my friends.
