Great saving product
So my hard drive in my laptop stopped communicating on Christmas Eve and I ordered this to check the hard drive vs the port itself. Turns out the SSD is still working great. The port itself went out. Was able to use this to migrate the OS and files. What a lifesaver!!! Worked great and easy to assemble.

M.2 usb adapter
Worked great for data recovery. I also tested the USB adapter with a laptop spinning disk hdd. It works fine for this as well. It wouldn’t work with a full sized hdd. I suspect it didn’t provide enough power. Works great though, great tool to have.

Easy to use
Eventhough the device is easy to use it is very important to know the compatibility with M.2 Ssd devices before you purchase this device. Not saying it is a bad devi ce check the compatibility with vendor..

Saved me from a busted machine
I needed this when my laptop wouldnt boot. Honestly the laptop was ancient and I got more than my moneys worth, but i didnt want to lose my data. So took off the screws on the bottom of the laptop, looked at the harddrive and googled the drive model. That told me what kind of connector I needed and I bought this one. A day later (yay amazon!) it arrived and I plugged the hard drive (only fit one way) into this and plugged it into the USB port of another machine. Immediately I could see all the drives contents.Bit scary how easy it would be for something to steal my data so I should probably encrypt (and backup online!) the contents of my next machine.Only thing I can think of that would help this is including some instructions to use this for drive recovery and a storage case since its now sitting in a drawer.Either way, was a good buy!

Exactly what I Expected
The product was delivered super fast and worked as described. Very easy to use. Just don’t forget to use the switch to change drive types like I did lol

Do not buy!!!!!!!!!!!
Will not fit any of my m.2 drives. The slot is not the correct size, I'm unable to insert into the slot."Plus the board was shipped in a plastic bag with nothing to protect it from impacts or bending"I consider myself an professional, graduated with a computer science degree and have been working on PC hardware for over 25 years.

Works but ehhh...
Ehh... the screws they sent dont fit to hold the m.2 or msata on the bare PCB. Definitely bad concept needs an external case for sure. I used a rubber band to hold drive in place. Worked well. But Definitely disappointing

Did exactly what I needed it to do...
You can boot a drive off of this and it'll read a SATA SSD which was my need.

Arrived on time. Fit the drive I was putting into my computer. Make sure you have the right M.2 drive to fit this adapter. Good quality. Easy to install.

Used for reading/writing M Sata from a dead mini PC
I wanted to read/write the contents from a mini PC's M-Sata and I used this product to do so. Worked like a charm and I had no issues.
