I got this scooter because the one that I was riding was about to break (you get what you pay for) and I couldn't be happier. I like this scooter because you can ride anything on it (dirt, street, park, vert, trails). This scooter has such good balance I've only fallen three times,(which i'mperfectly fine with) . It looks amazing, and while it only has a two bolt clamp, my bars haven't moved at all. Although I wish it could run pegslike a Phase Two , I stopped being lazy and learned a board slide .This is a great scooter for anyone, and a big improvement.

Love it
My son has this and he loves it. It has nice bouncy, wheels. You do need to air them though and monitor that just as you would a bicycle. He does trick jumps with it, as well as his Eldorado and his kick scooter, and he likes the softer landing. It's not has hard on the joints. Although it is heavier due to the off road riding ability. It is a great scooter. Very well made. Nice long, wide deck, good grips on handlebars

more foot room than phase 2 but 2 pounds heavier. tires were only 50 psi and clamp only 2 bolt. rides great
Royal Scout was $160 and I concurrently bought a phase ii for $186 shipped (no scoot's worth over $200 btw). This is a comparison.Royal Scout Highs: Large foot room (usa foot size 13 plus). Fits tall 6'2" rider. Neutral steering with straight high quality forks. Stoppie ready. High quality gloss paint. Very intelligent x-bar downtube design enabling the stoppies and footroom. Brake is very thin and keeps large foot area.Royal Scout Lows: 13 pounds is 2 pounds heavier than phase 2. Plastic rims. 50psi tires will not enable high speed use with heavy riders. Wiggly if you wobble wheels back and forth from factory. Factory clamp only had 2 bolts. Brake works but not great (rely on your foot on the tire which works good but wears out your shoe if you do any downhill braking).Phase II John Radtke Highs: 11 pounds. 3 bolt clamp. Nice blue paint. Cool art design sticker on bottom. 80 psi tires enable high speed (necessary for big offroad stunts). Metal wheels. Nice grips. Plastic slider on rear sides. Brake works well even downhill, very safe if you like your foot never to touch the tire. High quality.Phase 2 Lows: Came scratched in the box. Matte paint on handlebars and forks is ok. Brake keeps your foot from ever touching back tire, brake mechanism takes up 2cm more space of footroom causing limited footroom. My size 12's compete for space more than on the Royal Scout.

love it!
Got this for my son. He rides it every where. He finally got me to ride it one day it was a nice ride I felt real comfortable on it witch I don't get on two wheels ever. Now I'm thinking about getting one my self to go on ride with him. and also saw super cool videos of kids doing crazy tricks on them.

junk and no support
first off there were no bearings on the fork. The decals on the bar were to the rear instead of the front. Left message but had no return call. This was given as a christmas present so I was forced to find a scooter shop that could make repairs so it could be ridden while we were on a camping trip over christmas and new years. This is supposed to be a good scooter but you can't prove that by me or my grandson.

Not as described...
I would give it 3 stars but it did not come as described. We've had this a few days now, and my young teen son has been able to put it through its paces on dirt and street. He is an experienced skateboarder and street/park scooter rider.First, it came with a weak 2 bolt clamp, says 3 bolt in description. We had a spare 3 bolt which is ok, 4 would be better.Second, the front axle had pretty light weight threads which were easily stripped out when snugged. We replaced it with a high strength bolt and locknut. Replacing the rear axle will not be as easy, but appears doable when the time comes.Third, the brake seems not flexible(springy) enough to brake, and then release completely from the wheel. Continues to rub the wheel slightly after braking until manually bent away.Fourth, instructions indicate it includes 2 spanners for the head nuts, only one came in the box.So far everything else seems acceptable, but we have had it less then 5 days.....This probably a fine beginner's scooter for a younger rider that isn't expecting to thrash on it. Looking around currently on amazon there are slightly more expensive scooters that are likely better quality.Plan on contacting Royal to resolve the clamp and spanner issue.Stay tuned....

My son loves it.
My 15 year old bought this with his own money. He loves it. We took it to a local BMX track and he was jumping it and it held up great.

Super
