Q-Workshop Dragon Black & White RPG Ornamented Dice Set: $10.99 at the time of reviewAbout 10 years ago, I suffered a dramatic gaming loss. After spending some time over at a friend's apartment playing a weekend long D&D session, my bag with all of my books and dice disappeared. I think I left it on the sidewalk and someone walked off with it. Anyhow, I’ve slowly been rebuilding my collection and when I saw these dice with dragons on them, I knew I wanted them.*What I liked*:The design is fun and fantasy-themed. A fitting addition to any fantasy role players collections (D&D or otherwise).They roll well. I don’t mean favorable numbers, just that they physically roll well on a variety of surfaces.*What I didn't like*:I’m not a huge fan of paying over $10 for one set of dice, but it’s not that much more than a regular set so it's worth it for a neat look.*The Bottom Line:*I’m glad I added these dice (as well as a couple of other similar sets). They help give my new dice collection a little more character when I roll for my, well, characters. Five stars out of five. I would totally buy these again.

Normally with a 4-sided die you read the roll based on the point that is upwards, and the numbers around each point therefore should match. However on this die they do not match, and you can have a roll that is simultaneously 2/3/4 for example depending which side you look at the upper point on. So while this dice set is absolutely gorgeous it is also useless (update: confusing) as a matching set because another 4-sided die is needed.UPDATE: It appears this designer rather than using a point's numbers or the base side's numbers chooses to have it be "whichever number appears upright" -- which could be on any corner and not the same one around. This is a very unusual (unique?) system, and not one that is by any means readily apparent to even seasoned dungeon-goers.

These dice are nice and roll fairly evenly between high and low (tested on a basis of 50 rolls with each). The problem I have with these dice is that the D20 specifically is very hard to read, and a LOT harder to read than it appears to be in the picture. It takes anywhere between 2 to 5 seconds to discern what you rolled at a bit of a distance, that is to say, at around 2 feet, or across a table. As a DnD player, the D20 is probably the most important die in the whole batch, as every character will inevitably use it.My advice: if you are looking for a nice set of dice and are willing to sub in another D20 if need be, these may be your deal. Some D/GMs (Dungeon/Game Masters) will put up with dice that are a bit hard to read. Others won't. Check with your D/GM before buying.

My husband and I have just recently started playing DnD. Thus, I bought these dice for him as he's playing a Dragonborn and I bought the Forest dice for me as I'm playing an elf Druid.I must say I am impressed with the dragon dice. They are very easy to read and he's only had to double check every so often. Unlike the Forest dice (which I love), which I have to double check much more regularly.So far, he's had no complaints with them. The numbers are easy to read and the dice look nicely detailed. Not that we have a lot of gaming dice, but these are much nicer than some other sets we've bought.Should we require more dice in the future, I would definitely buy similar ones to these.

Dice look excellent in person, quality is as one would expect. They are a little small, they're by far the smallest set of dice I own. The numbers can be kind of tricky at first, but I got used to them pretty quickly. I still have a little trouble with 1's and 7's, but other than that the dice are fine. If you like what you see, you'll most likely enjoy the product you receive.

These dice are actually a little nicer than they look in the pictures. I was surprised to see how detailed the dragon pictures are. They are about the same size as the pictures show, so if you like how they look, you will be happy with them in real life.The design is perfect for games like D&D, and the price is very good for what you get.If you don't care what your dice look like, then you should get some cheaper plain dice, but if you want something that you will like to look at, then this is a very good option.

Awesome dice, note the colors are inverted. The company seems to have made this color scheme at one time, but I can't find them sold anywhere.

I'm not into dice or RPGs or any of that, but I bought these as a gift for a friend who is. He collects dice, and these were pretty sad compared to most in his collection. I guess I should have expected it because they look just like they do in the picture. I just assumed because it was such a small picture, the detail wasn't there. Well, the detail isn't there in real life either.

Item was not as advertised.Dice are white with black lettering and not black with white lettering as the picture.They are nice dice, but they are not what I ordered, also it had two d20 dice and no d12... :(

Nice set of dice. Only downside is that the numbers on the D20 are pretty small (if you are getting on a bit like me!). Shame with these kind of designs that the D20's can't be made slightly larger to compensate (Same applies to the Elven dice set). The D6 looks really good. Overall a nice set of dice and the Black on White looks good.

I got these dice for my son and he likes them. They are well made and pretty; the only problem is that it's slightly hard to read the numbers - they are clearly printed, it's just that there is so much going on with the design. Not a complaint! But you'll need to get close to the dice to read them.

Beautiful dice set, really impressed with them. All the details were there, no errors or missed paint. Numbers on the d20 can be slightly hard to read, but I assumed this would be the case when I ordered them and it's a price I'm willing to pay for the craftsmanship! Looks great at the table, and I'm sure it's made me more skilled as a DM*.*Disclaimer: Has not made me more skilled as a DM...

These dice are exactly what I was expecting. :) The designs are all very clear and the dice feel lovely. I didn't find any stains on my dice as other reviewers have mentioned. They were packaged nicely and are in perfect condition. :) I even got a free D6 die decorated with a different design on each side, which I'll definitely be using! I'm very pleased and will definitely be buying more dice in the future. :)
