Nice on Walnut or other Wood Whisperer approved dark hard woods.
Works well to mark up rough stock and finished pieces of the walnut floor I made. I tried to use pencil but that was missed and likely to end up under the finish for the grandkid to find while scooting around on the floor. Sharpe was too much so this was a good solution that could be dampened and wiped if I didn't want to sand it off.

A bit on the sticky side
These are fine, but I find they are a bit on the sticky side, meaning it takes a little pressure and building up layers to get a good highlight. They do not cover well over graphite, so you'll want to leave your highlight areas unmarked and then use these to refine them. I'd probably buy again.

Every artist need these...
My teen daughter creates a lot of Art pictures using charcoal pencils and these were perfect for her to use the black paper for art drawing. The white stands out awesomely. Record time delivery: thanks to the seller and Amazon.

Still testing
I’m not achieving the effect i was hoping for with these. I’m getting ready to start another project and will update of my mind changes but they are hard and have almost no affect in my colored pencil work.

Works but you’ll need a big sharpener.
At first I was a bit hesitant to buy this product and maybe I should have done so but it do it’s job right. If anyone is interested in getting these just know that the pencils are pretty thick and the charcoal was hard(felt like a 2h pencil) sometimes I needed pressure to draw the white charcoal parts. The pencil isn’t bad at all, it works but you need to sharpen it with a bigger sharpener or manually with a knife.

Not smooth
It works just fine just not as smooth as I would like.

Regular hand sharpener doesn’t work on these
As soon as I opened the pencils out of the package one of them dropped to the floor breaking the tip of the chalk immediately.. Also, these things are quite thick in size and a regular hand sharpener is going to be too small for these. So you would have to buy a sharpener meant for those specific charcoal pencils if you plan on using them on a day to day basis.
