I got a good dial, maybe you could too!
My particular delivery met .0001 standard accuracy (2.5ish micron) for calibration department- and my calibration sheet from Mitutoyo lists my accuracy at 0.7 micron, but Mitutoyo themselves list the accuracy of this indicator at 4 micron possible permissible error. You could be getting a dial with an error ratio 4x the individual markings on the dial, so... caveat emptor, I guess. I thought it was rude for the seller to list 1 micron accuracy. I was super happy to return the thing if it failed in the calibration department, but I lucked out. Best to be aware you could be getting a product that IS what Mitutoyo guarantees, but doesn't meet the seller's label.

Authentic
Mitutoyo is one of the most reputable brands out there. There are a lot of fakes, and my boss even managed to get some fakes from Amazon. These however are authentic, and real. Real machinist always can feel the difference in repeatability.

Great indicator
I own two of these for my job. They are accurate and dependable. I need to dial tooling in to 2 microns and this does the trick.

The indicator had a problem with the movement - was sticking a bit and non reactive. Contacted Amazon and they were able to get a replacement from the supplier. New one is excellent. Been using is for over a year now and had no issues.

E' arrivato in una scatola di plastica che non è la sua. Sbatteva da una parte all'altra perchè non era nel suo alloggio e non era fissato in nessuna sede. Calcolando che è un oggetto di precisione dovrebbe esser sistemato con una bella imbottitura Quando ho aperto la confezione, infatti l'asta era piegata. Volevo rispedirlo al mittente, ma poi siccome mi serviva subito per un lavoro di precisione ho raddrizzato l'asta e l'ho controllato. La precisione mi pare buona, la molla non ha avuto danni. Quindi tutto sommato ha fatto il suo lavoro bene. Ma con quel prezzo, una confezione di plastica su misura che lo trattenga nella propria sede è il minimo sindacale
