Great for sun protection and foundation base
I have both the tan and non-tinted versions of this sunscreen. I have tried so many recommended physical sunscreens. Most of them leave a greasy film which just makes a mess out of foundation. This is the only one I've found that goes on smooth and actually provides a great base/primer for foundation. I like the tan also but find that it makes my foundation look darker, whereas the non-tinted settles in nicely and doesn't affect the color. I'm super sensitive to chemical sunscreens and most silicone based primers. I have been pleasantly surprised that the silicones in this sunscreen haven't bothered me. For fair skinned folks - this is the perfect face sunscreen.

It is NOT ghost-like
This stuff is awesome. I had the tinted version (still do), but it was too dark for, me so I bought this thinking I'd mix them together since so many reviewers said this one on its own makes you look like a ghost. Well, I'm not sure why, because I have light to medium olive skin (certainly not super fair/freckly), and this blends right in without giving me a weird hue.On top of that, like the tinted version, it blurs imperfections (notice they call it a primer, not just a sunscreen). Also, SPF 40 is pretty hard to find in a product that's safe for my sensitive skin and eyes.It might seem expensive for sunscreen, but keep in mind that it works like a foundation, or at least a good primer, on top of giving you SPF 40. I took a few pictures of myself today and kept forgetting I wasn't wearing actual foundation. For 1.5 ounces (most foundations are 1 oz.), $22 bucks or so is a good deal, unless you're going to wear the cheapest of the cheap from the drug store.

Good product, hate new packaging
I like this sunscreen and will probably continue to buy it, but I'm bummed out by the new packaging. The color is quite garish but more annoyingly, they went from a flip-top cap to a screw-on cap, so it's more of a hassle to open and close.I tried the tinted version and didn't like it as much; when rubbed into my light skin the orangey color wasn't visible, but if I forgot to rub it in well enough around my hairline it was really visible. I have also tried Flawless Complexion but the creamy texture feels too much in hot weather.

Non-tinted still colors your face
I received a sample version of the tinted sunscreen a while back and loved it, but decided to buy the non-tinted version so both my husband and I could use it. We brought it on a recent trip to somewhere very sunny. We used it the first day and then never again. Be advised that while it does not have a "tint" it made our faces ghostly white even when applied lightly. The package says "enhances light tones" which I didn't assume to mean it that it would add a white coat to our faces removing any and all natural color. Disappointing. Buy the tinted.

Caused acne on the chin.
I've used the Cotz tinted sunscreen and was very pleased with the texture and quality. The only reason I've switched to the Lighter Skin Tone version because the tinted one was a little on the dark side for my skin tone. To much of my dismay is that this seem to be of different formula because it caused acne on my chin. I tried this 3 days in a row and the symptom persists. The acne took days to heal too. No acne form once I switched it out for my other sunscreen. Btw, I'm a 52 yr old woman and I've passed my acne growing phase unless coming from unsuitable sunscreen or skincare.

The best. Period.
My dermatologist in Beverly Hills repackages and sells this stuff for $45 per bottle. It's worth it at that price -- so at $15 a tube, it's a steal.I have light skin, live in Southern California, and have a family history of sun-related skin issues, so I've tried a number of daily SPF products over the years. This is absolutely the best. It offers unparalleled, chemical-free sun protection, and goes on invisible, matte, and non-greasy.Side note: this product stings if it gets in your eyes during application, so don't go smearing a handful across your face. Dab and spread -- a little goes a long way. I also mix in a tiny bit of the "natural" skin tone version (which has a slightly less creamy "out of the tube" texture") to avoid even the slightest hint of a white cast from the mineral sunscreens.

Sent wrong product
I was sent the wrong product. I received the Face Prime and protect Non tinted spf 40. I used it this morning and didn’t realize it wasn’t what I ordered. The product I received is very nice, but there is a lot of pilling. Once I got the pilling off, I liked it. The texture is very sheer and it does act as a primer, which it is. It feels lightweight, but it’s not what I ordered.

Love the version with the skin tone
My dermatologist suggested this facial sunscreen for daily use under my make up, because I have Rosacea. It does a great job on my fair skin, keeping me from burning and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I've tried both the regular tube and this "lighter skin tone" version and the skin tone version is perfect for me. It has a much silkier texture and it gives me a little bit of coverage/blurs imperfections slightly when I'm not wearing makeup.
