I love this mask/conditioner. It has great minimal ingredients that make my hair soft and hydrated. My curls like it and makes brushing my hair in the shower a lot easier. I have bought this a few times and think the consistency may have changed a little bit and is thinner now. The size is great and last for quite a while. I think the scent is interesting and could take some time getting use to - my other products over trump it. I use this as my main conditioner on the reg. I’d recc it!

I love this product. My hair was getting really dry and brittle and even with argan oil and a leave in conditioner my wide tooth comb was pulling and fighting tangles in my hair.The first day I used this product my comb went smoothly through my hair, no tangles.One week into using this mask on my hair and my hair was softer and looking healthier.I am now two weeks into using this product and I wouldn't wash my hair without it. Sometimes I still use my regular conditioner in the shower as well as this after my shower, and sometimes I don't.I was preparing for a big haircut to get all of the unhealthy hair cut off (2-3 inches). Now I dont feel like I need to get much cut. I may get the ends trimmed up but probably less than 1/2 of an inch.It absorbs into the hair really well and smells really nice...with a light, tropical scent.I shower, wash my hair like normal, then wrap my hair in a towel for about 5 minutes to get the excess water off. Then I put on the mask, using it liberally and combing it through my hair with a wide tooth comb. Then I put it up in a shower cap for at least 20 minutes. I have left it for longer but never less than 20 minutes. Then I use the hand held shower to rinse out my hair and again wrap it in a towel to start drying and then comb it out.I was worried about it taking extra time, but I have honestly found that extra 20 minutes becomes "me" time. I put my jammies on, prop my feet up and watch a show or read a book for that time. If I flip my hair over my head I can rinse it out with the handheld shower while dressed.Overall great product. I love it and I recommend it!

I’ve been using this product for months as a leave-in conditioner. I have thick, curly hair and it does an excellent job adding moisture and shine without being greasy or heavy. (Also use a Frizz Ease moisturizer spray and the combo gives my curls great definition.) I love that it’s natural! I read in other reviews that people encountered mold as the jar gets older, so I store mine in the fridge and have never had a problem. I order two jars every month. In my last order, one jar had a different texture and color; seemed more synthetic. It didn’t work as well. I was hopeful that my next order would go back to normal, but this time both jars were “off." I really hope it’s just one batch and the product goes back to normal soon; otherwise, I may need to start looking for a new product.Update 08/2024: Future batches never returned to the original consistency, color and effectiveness of when I first started ordering, so I canceled my subscription order.

After the first use my hair was so soft and shiny compared to another silicone mask that I used in the past. I saw a lot of reviews saying they got it with mold or it molded soon after receiving and I haven’t had that happen. I have been storing the product in my closet away from any bright light and moisture. 10/10 would recommend for low porosity hair

I wanted to purchase a simple moisturizing hair mask. To build my hair up in order to give a color makeover. Forget it! I opened this product, the smell nearly knocked me out. I used as directed for 20 minutes. As the 20th minute was approaching, I became panicked because I realized that smell is the distinctive smell of perm solution/relaxer! I ran to the shower as fast as I could and shampooed it off. My hair stunk really bad EXACTLY like a perm even after shampooing! My hair felt like seaweed, which only happens after perms! I couldn't believe it! I conditioned and conditioned. As I was squeezing my hair, it felt like dry hay and hairs were breaking off into my hands. I diffused dried my hair with coconut oil hoping and praying that it didn't ruin my curl pattern. And I have waves in my hair, but it seems less curlier. I WANTED my hair to be healthy and CURLIER! I got really suspicious when I reread this product page and the company says to test a small area on your elbow! That is a sure fire sign it has caustic chemicals in it! No "hair conditoner" tells you to do this. My hair is butt length and it's part of my personal trademark. It feels like the dryest hay now even sitting here moisturizing with oils and leave ins. My hair is damaged by this product and I will be taking legal action for the false advertising. I did not want to "perm" or "relax" my hair. I wanted to "condition" it, and instead it is damaged and drier than when I started and now I will have to spend a lot of money treating my hair for the damage and put my coloring plans on hold. I want compensation.

I have been bleaching, toning, coloring and overusing blue shampoofor almost two months and today my hair hit its limit. After rinsing the Olaplex 4 from my hair I could tell I overdid it and my hair had that sickening sticky feeling while drying and that can only be horrendous damage. So I just received this Avocado Hair Mask yesterday so I put handfuls into my hair and dragged a comb through it to distribute evenly and left it on for twenty minutes. After rinsing I left my hair air dry and no sticky feeling, felt soft and almost normal. Hours later it looked and felt so much better. Buy this!
