Wild About Weeds: Garden Design with Rebel Plants

The book redefines what we term to be a “”weed”” and points towards their creative use
... the value of this creative book lies in highlighting a plant type - ignored because of its familiarity - and in showing crisply & clearly with excellent illustrations how the type can be harnessed as a key part of a managed garden. In sun/shade, on good/poor soil, in woodland/semi formal conditions, expert advice refreshes the idea of the traditional garden — particularly attractive is the concept of using big drifts of weed planting under trees, merging into sunlight, playing on their varying heights and flowering times. First rate. ...Patrick

It’ll change you!
Makes you think about the value and beauty of the ordinary - why have we spent so many years trying to get exotic plants to grow and banishing those that find their home in our gardens by themselves!

Amazing book
This book has completely changed the way that I think about weeds and plants in general. It was so good that I bought copies for my family members who are gardeners. I would definitively recommend

Thought weeds are... well weeds? Think again.
This book sheds a new light on how what we commonly think of as weeds can actually be used to structure and characterise your garden. Jack guides the reader through why weeds can be used as key focus points of a garden, and reviews a wide range of weeds based on characteristics.

Bring on the weeds!
It’s about time someone sang the praises of so called weeds! I love this book. Beautifully put together and really easy to dip into. It’s a fixture on my desk these days when designing a scheme. Bring on the weeds!

Great book.
My Wild about Weeds arrived yesterday and I spent a lovely evening reading quite a bit of it. Refreshing to find a different take on gardening. JW's passion is evident and there are loads of lovely photographs plus a really tactile cover.
