My dog let me brush him
I’ve had my cavapoo for 3 years now and this is the first brush (I’ve got a pin head brush and metal comb) that he’s let me brush his hair without squirming. At first the brush seems intimidating- it’s quite bulky considering the bristles are concentrated in the middle, but it works for my cavapoo. While it is a chunky looking thing, it wasn’t too hard to maneuver. My dog is on the bigger side of small but I think this would be great for a medium sized dog.The bristles do have to be cleaned after use so it doesn’t get build up since it’s not the self cleaning kind. But for the price, I think it’s worth the effort.

I recommend JW Pet Company GripSoft Slicker Brush Dog Brush
This is a decent slicker dog brush. And for the price, I think it's the best deal going (if you're looking for a slicker dog brush). Yes - the bristles are pretty rigid, but not bad. I brushed it against my scalp and it was fine. If you press hard enough, you could irritate your dog's skin. (my advice is -- don't do that.) I've consistently used slickers to brush dogs since I was a kid (and, trust me -- that's a fairly long time) and I've used some that are stiffer, as well as some that are softer. This one is on the stiff side of middle-of-the-road. Of all the various slickers I've used, the handle of this one is amongst the most comfortable. It's a little bulky - so it's easiest to hold in one orientation. As for cleaning - it's like any other slicker. Once it has enough hair built up in the bristles, you peel it out so that most of the hair comes out in 1 clump. If you want to get every single hair out of it, you need to use a fine tooth comb. If I were to change one thing, I would like the bed of bristles to be larger (cover more surface area). The oval-shaped bristle area is roughly 3" L-to-R and 2.5" T-to-B. Don't get me wrong, the tool (as a whole) is rather large. But the actual brush area is a bit small. Even being on the small-ish side, it's completely adequate, works well, and feels like it will last a long time. At less than 5 bucks - I highly recommend.

They don't mind it
With a little bit of practice, our sister puppies don't mind this brush! Works gently on their thick coat

It works
It’s a bit bulky but gets the job done. I have a toy poodle and he doesn’t like it at all. Not sure if it pulls his hair or what

Good basic brush
Bought it to use in the laundry room for Sherpa fur items. It works wprfectly for this use. Would have picked a more expensive one for a dog, there are better ones available with softer pin base.

Good brush
This is a good brush. The tines are stiff for a good brushing. It was bigger than I expected. One of the downfalls I have with this brush is, it is a bit bulky and not easy to hold for my small hands. It's still a good brush nonetheless and get the job done. Would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend it? Yes - to certain people with bigger, stronger hands.

Finally a Sturdy slicker brush with needle that won't bend or come off
It has a nice solid feel with needle bristle that won't easily bend or fall off while brushing your pets single or double coat. The handle is a good length when brushing underneath your dogs body It leaves my Pomeranians double coat looking fresh & fluffy as his coat floes frleywhile walking or running. The size is perfect for all sizes. Just ask for grooming tools

comfy to use
The size and price of this brush are awesome! It is wire and the yellow parts are rubbery to allow you a better grip. Its a great brush to use and a super good price for its quality!

Meh
Once the hair is in the brush, I spend more time getting it out. Don't find that it does the trick, but I have a Golden Ret. (as shown on packaging) and a German Shep. But I am comparing to the Furminator.
