Fluval Sea PS1 Protein Skimmer for Aquarium, for All Breed Sizes

Works great.

I installed my Fluval Sea PS1 a week ago. It does what it is advertised to do. Can't give it 5 stars because it emits a humming noise when powered up. I solved that problem by using a timer so that it only runs over night when no one is in the room to be bothered with the hum. It took little effort to install and adjust the unit. So far, it is well worth the price.

VERY LOUD tried to tune it MANY times could not get anything more than a VERY wet skim. also LOUDER THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE TANK its loud to begin with. but if you try to restrict the air to get smaller bubbles the thing gets EVEN LOUDER. did i mention this thing is LOUD?the reason im saying this is because i finally replaced it with a DC pump skimmer that cost half the price and it works way better... fluval at least add a DC pump... because the way it is now is ovepriced and under performing garbage, now im gonna have to sell this POS on facebook marketplace to recoup some lost money thanks for the garbage.

If you have this tank, this protein skimmer is the one that fits in perfectly. For me, had to have my LFS tech put it in, set it up and ensure it was working correctly. Just one precaution, this will strip the tank of nitrates and phosphates so if you have corals that rely on them, you may not want to use this OR ensure it is at the lowest rate of waste removal. Pricy, like everything for a saltwater aquarium, but if you have corals I think it is an essential tool in good tank husbandry!

Works perfectly in a 40 gallon tank. Keeps my Reef sparkly clean with the help of a few snails and a few crabs..

Looks cool, takes up alot of ro inside the tank, difficult to tune..
