My teakettle arrived looking used!
It appears my teakettle is damaged or that it should have been inspected more closely before it left the factory. It looks used and dirty, to be honest. The inside of the kettle is pitted and scratched, and there are chunks of black plastic inside the kettle. They may have been from some part of the handle-making process, but while the handle is scratched and looks damaged, it doesn’t seem to be missing any chunks out of it. It arrived in a box and included tags to let the company know if there is a problem, but the email address listed did not work for me and the email got bounced back. I don’t want to use it - I want a replacement, but I’m not sure how to go about it. EDITED TO ADD: Returned. Never heard back from the seller.

Doesnt whistle. Metal shards.
Rinsing it before my first use I found sharp metal shards peeling off from the inside of the spout. I also scrubbed to remove some odd black powder attached to the inside of the spout, as well as these shards. Using it for the first time, the water was boiling and the steam escaped the closed spout. This tea kettle never whistled. I tested the boiling water by pouring it into a white bowl and found particles of black dots. Returning it.

Very pretty little tea kettle
I bought this tea kettle to boil water and thought it would be great to be notified by a whistle so I didn't have to stand and wait till the water boiled. The only thing is that it takes forever to whistle and I suspect that has to do with the level of water in the kettle. Sometimes it won't whistle at all. I will have to try different levels of water. This may be due to my inexperience with tea kettles. However, the kettle itself is nice in all other ways. It is sturdy, made of thick stainless steel and is easy to hold. And it is also very attractive.

Stylish Steel Teapot for gas stove
* Best thing for this you can use this on a gas stove. I am using it every morning with 3/4th filled with water and put 3 tea bags in it for 15-20 mins to boil. It holds well for 2 hours after that. It keeps it warm till 2 hours not very hot.* Easy to clean. I am only doing hand wash. But its dishwasher washable.* While using it make sure the top is tight to keep tea/water warm.* There is a little filer inside for pouring so it stops large things if you boil with something solid.

Great kettle, just be careful with it.
I got this kettle for my elderly parents. It's light and boils quickly. It's perfect except that the whistle is not very loud. Or instead, I should say it was perfect. My father turned the burner on without first checking to see if there was any water in it. That killed it pretty quickly. Destroyed the bottom. It leaks badly and can't be fixed, short of doing some extreme metal-working. This truly seems like a great kettle if you just exercise reasonable prudence when using it. It was the best kettle they ever had up until this unfortunate accident, which I have to put down to operator error as opposed to product failure.

Love it!
It's small and neat. The whistle isn't that great, but it boils quickly enough for me. Sometimes the boil point is so fast, I almost forget that I was waiting. It's simple to wipe off which I do once it cools. The handle is easy to hold, not hot. This kettle really suits my needs.

Doesn't whistle, leaves residue, but looks nice?
This teapot LOOKS pretty, and that is about it. I would recommend this for someone who would only use as a decorative item.Keeping in mind I did NOT follow the instructions--which say don't heat on "high" temp, but I obviously DID because it's a f**ing TEAPOT--the inside of mine turned brownish and started flaking black in some places. This was after about 4 uses on med-high heat. Just a bad product. Definitely doesn't whistle. Some inner pieces of the lid came tarnished/beat up and with soot-looking stuff on it.

Sad whistle :/
Works okay. I mean it boils water like it's supposed to. Unfortunately the whistle sounds like a person who doesn't know how to whistle making their lips like that and just blowing.. that's basically all it is. You can kind of hear the steam coming out pretty much. The sound of the water boiling is louder than the ""whistle"" lol
