Amazon shipped this super fast, and I got it in only a few days. It was easy to assemble, but I'm fairly experienced in putting furniture together. It took me about 4 hours to put the desk together. The instructions were easy to follow and Sauder even puts cute little notes along the way to help lighten the mood. This is the nicest desk I've ever owned. It looks like it's worth more than what I paid. I am trying to order the whole line. I also have the closet and will try to order the dressers as well. I am very please with this desk. I'm an grinnin' ear to ear today because I love my desk, and I think you'll love yours as well.

Now that this item is assembled I am pleased. But, there are a couple of issues worth noting. First, the packaging needs to be addressed. This is a very heavy item and the box at the ends was damaged in transit exposing the items inside. The top piece was damaged on one corner. The other issue was the pencil drawer. When put together it is too wide to fit on the tracks. Annoying! The pieces had to be trimmed down to make it narrower by 1/8 inch. It took a little glue, stain and some cutting tools but, now that it is together it looks great!

Directions were very clear step by step. When they say you might need a second person, YOU DO. The attaching pieces ( like bolts) are finicky, easy to break, definitely need another person for certain parts. It’s beautiful when “finally” completed and very sturdy.I’m sure a handy guy or gal would have had an easier time assembling. But it’s totally doable.I had planned to put router and cable box on top shelf of computer table side cabinet. They don’t fit. Wire outlets to the back of table are wonky. The mouse cord barely has enough reach to be usable. However I think that could be fixed easily. The computer tower fits well.This duo was assembled in a bed room my recently disabled hubby is using. It looks great and I’m working on organizing the electronics.What I love about this company is the very clear directions and videos available for construction. Parts are separated and labeled in one large flat package. Follow the directions When they say you might need another person, you do. I’d buy again from this company.

This thing was a beast to put together solo, but I will say the directions are incredibly specific. If you aren't sure about something, double check the label on whatever piece you are working on, and read carefully. Lay the pieces out exactly as shown and don't skip anything, and you'll do fine!I use this as my vanity (and desk sometimes for my tablet). The pencil drawer holds all my daily makeup spead out in little dividers that I added. The drawer on the top on the right is tall enough to hold a can of hairspray vertically. In the drawer below that, I keep a trash can neatly hidden away along with a bottle of windex to clean my mirror. The cabinet on the left side holds everything else. Tons of space 10/10 for space).For a stool with this, I paired a round, tufted storage ottoman (18" seat height), and it works great, and there's plenty of leg room as well as room to sit and swing my legs around to the front without pulling the stool in and out.NEGATIVES:Just a few, but here there go! The center drawer doesn't slide smoothly enough for my taste. A little clunky, but not horrible. I also worry about the long term durability of the desktop, especially along the thin front edge and corners. I plan to buy a glass top to protect it so it lasts a long time.

I ordered this desk for my office at church. It's the perfect size for a small office. I also ordered the matching bookshelf. This desk went together like a dream. It took time, but so does any project like this. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. The finish is very nice and smooth but doesn't look like plastic. The wood grain shows, nicely. I especially like the new drawer assembly. If anyone out there knows what I mean, the drawers can be quite tedious, using lots of screws and plastic brackets to hold the drawer front on. These had slots in the drawer face that locked the sides into place. Much easier to assemble. The only thing I did extra was to take a brown furniture touchup marker and go over all the lighter edges where the laminates come together. This adds a nice touch and blends the edges to make it look like solid wood. Beautiful desk!

Do not buy this hunk of garbage! This desk has horrible instructions that literally tell you to assemble it in the incorrect order, making it impossible to assemble unless you take it back apart.The cheap press wood falls apart at the slightest touch.Comes in about 600 parts and takes multiple hours to assemble.Save yourself time and headache and buy a real piece of furniture that doesn’t come in a box from china. I know I wish would’ve.

I bought a desk back in March. It remained unopened in my garage until my son could come put it together. Once opened, the top front of the desk had a huge gouge. I called Saunder, and even though 2 months had passed, they sent me a replacement top. No questions asked, at no charge. Easy. And it was here within 3 days. My desk is now fully assembled and is a beautiful piece of furniture. Thank you, Sauder. I will definitely be back!

This desk is beautiful in a dark coffee color, but it scratches so easily! We noticed a few after we put it together, and are unsure if we did it or it was delivered that way. First cut is the deepest…. I’m trying to ignore and working at it, but only 3 days and my keyboard has actually made many little scratches. I ordered a plastic table pad for it so it doesn’t get worse. I will try to use a color pen to fix it before I put it on. I’m surprised other reviews haven’t mentioned this.
