Well... it cracked
EDIT 12-13-16: For the last month and some change I have been trying to (unsuccessfully) patch a hairline crack that developed on the bottom of the jug. It just won't work, folks, so chuck it if it gets a crack (and this is a big blow to the beanbag because I like fixing things). Hate to say it, but the lack of flexibility in the plastic material caused a crack when air pressure changed inside the bottle simply from drinking. Imagine crinkling a soda can and how it splits slightly at the crease. Yeah... that. Changing my review accordingly: a jug that isn't water-tight is a glorified sprinkler drip system. Sorry Bluewave, ya lost me.Original review:I live in the desert, and am a craftsman by trade, so a large amount of water at all times is a necessity. I've been using jugs for years now and occasionally retire and replace them when I feel the plastic or some other feature is degrading. Like I said, my life is desert living and tool working, so things don't last long despite one's best efforts. Anyways, this jug is great and lives up to its required functions. The BPA Free labeling is nice, not really sure what it's all about but I figure the more you take out of a plastic material that comes into contact with stuff you digest, the better. No three-eyed kids with glow in the dark skin down the genetic line, I suppose. I should note that it had a really funky industrial smell to it when I first unscrewed the lid. I have ZERO idea what it was and didn't like that surprise, but after filling it with warm water and shaking the bejezzus out of it like three or four times the smell vanished. Maybe it was some factory mold-release residue or something.I accidentally bought the purple-ish one and only realized it after it had shipped, so I was kind of bummed. But since no one else is ever going to have a purple jug I feel like that mistake will mean no one at work will accidentally confuse mine for theirs. In terms of physical features, the handle is nice and works well with my long fingers and wide palm. There's an alternating bumpy and smooth surface, not sure what the advantage is but I suppose if you grab it mid-body instead of at the handle you'll... have a good grip? The middle ribbing helps with that, too.The main threaded cap both comes off as well as stays secure when needed, no accidents there. The push-nozzle works pretty well, and holds the liquid at bay even if you don't completely seal it. If you do pound it shut and completely seal it, you're 100% good. There's even a little bit of force required to get it open when fully sealed, so if you're super weak... use your teeth, I guess. The nozzle doesn't have a "locked" up position, so sometimes the nozzle can push back slightly and reduce water flow when drinking. My previous jug had the up lock, so I miss that feature. There's also a little clear plastic cap that I never use. It doesn't click in very well at all and I'd just end up losing it and wasting 12 seconds of my life looking for it before giving up. In my opinion, if you have a clicky cap that secures onto a nozzled container, you better be able to lift the entire container up by the clicky cap without it coming off. Otherwise, just don't even bother, it's basically a glorified dust guard at that point.Anyways, buy it, you'll like it.

This is an amazing water jug!
I’ve been ordering these jugs from this company for almost 10 years now. Great quality and so convenient to stay hydrated by having a visual reminder of how much water you need to drink for the day! Just 2 a day keeps the doctor away! Being a personal trainer and fitness coach, I recommend my clients to order the same. Easy to clean, light to carry around and usually quite when drinking from it. My boyfriend and I get 2 every 4-6 months. 😊

Works great. Treat it like a baby.
I have been using this Bluewave 0.5 jug for 2 weeks now with no problems. There have been no leaks whatsoever. If there is still water in the cap, there will be leaks coming out of cap. Speaking of the cap, yes I see why some people have given this bottle a bad review. The cap is very hard to twist on. You have to get it just right and twist it on slowly.I bring this jug from home to work and back everyday. This jug have hold up good. I handle it gently carrying it by the handle. I don't throw into my vehicle like a crazy person. I just place it down on the floor gently. For cleaning I just rinse the bottle by hand and let it air dry. If you can be a civilized person and want to drink a gallon a day, I highly recommend this jug.

i like my water bottle
when i sip on it i wish it had the suction. kinda like when you suck the water out and the bottle has the pressure? i prefer that than the air bubbles. i know it's hard to explain sigh. but i'd rather, when i suck on the water, for the bottle to be completlely sealed and i feel the pressure and then release my lips and then it returns to normal. yeah i know weird but good bottle.

Quality control
I’ve been buying this water bottle for YEARS. I occasionally buy a new one if I drop and break it or if it’s getting dingy and old. I have now bought 2 new bottles this month that are completely useless. The tops are lazy and don’t stay open while drinking water so they either close while you’re drinking or tons of air gets through and you end up drinking half water and half air. I’ve NEVER had these issues until now!! So disappointed and I guess I will have to find a new brand of water bottle now...

Plastic Cracks Easily
This is my seconds on of these bottles. I accidentally cracked the first one by squeezing it and wanted to get something different and better. But after searching around I decided this bottle fits my needs best. Though it does seem like this bottle is made with a more flexible plastic than the original one that I had. Either way its a water bottle, holds the amount of water that I want, has a handle, and is easy to drink from. I'm not overly concerned about the plastic since I'm not heating the bottle.Update: I bought second one and it cracked within a few weeks. Very brittle plastic as it almost shatters! I won't be purchasing another one of these and won't be recommending them either.

Great water bottle
Updated review:I loved this water bottle for the first 8 months. But last week I dropped the bottle. It fell some three feet and landed on it's side. A crack spread across the middle of the bottle, and that was the end of the water bottle. That being said, I'd still give this water bottle 4 stats for functionality and lack of spilling (see my original [5-star] review below). It appears you get what you pay for.------------------------------Original review: (5 stars)I've been using this water bottle daily for roughly six months now. It is easy to fill and clean (I run it through with water and let dry), and the water does not taste like plastic - even after sitting in a hot car all day. The side handle makes carrying this bottle easy, and the (empty) bottle is quite light. The nozzle can be difficult to open, but you get used to it.

I like it.
I don't experience the plastic taste another reviewer has been experiencing. I have been using this pretty much everyday for about 4 months and it still holds up.You'd be surprised how ergonomic this product is compared to holding a standard 2L bottle you'd find in supermarkets. However, my only gripe with this product is that I believe they should have used some sort of cap that lasts quite a long time, or provide extras with it (£10.00 for a bottle is on the steep end). The bottle cap has become damaged from 4 months of usage and has marks all over it just from drinking. Now I have looked into replacing the caps, but again, it is quite pricey. I have already paid £10 for a piece of plastic, I'd rather not dish out more just for a cap.

Second time lucky!
I have recently returned this flask because it appeared i was issued with either a used or previously opened product, i know this because i bought two which had a security seal on it . I contacted amazon and they assured me it was a new product, therefore i was happy to use it. However, once i filled it, the product began to leak. Therefore it was sent back straight away. I purchased another, and thankfully amazon compensated me with express delivery.HOWEVER, i was charged £6.01 for returning the product... and purchased another flask for £8.99. The flask was beginning to get expensive for an issue which was not my fault.I contacted customer services and the £6.01 was cancelled and returned. I think this is great customer service from amazon, which have been really helpful... But it has been a bit of a faff for a water bottle. But i have it, i love it....It would be 5* if it wasnt for being sent a previously opened and damaged product. I guess it was 'just my luck' but a little annoying contacting customer services twice and taking the item to the post office during the working week.

... to it having the sports cap as this seemed better for using while on the go
Bought this bottle due to it having the sports cap as this seemed better for using while on the go. However, very little water comes out, and resulted in my partner removing the lid completely to take a drink. The handle was also too small to fit his hand.

The reason for the 3 start is simply that it has a cheap plastic top like one of the well known sports drinks and with only using it for two days the top has split, now the drinking nozzle has no protection. maybe spending an extra pound or two for a better quality one would be a better idea.

Good For Its Size & Look
I really liked this bottle purely for its size which was its most beneficial selling point, beyond i didn't like the nozzle to much was tight and tough a more open top would have been better for me, however the other area of concern is the way you might squeeze the bottle although this was my error, if you squeeze it at the centre creese you risk it breaking as mine did so now theirs been a constant leek so be wary of these issues.
