Great, non stick
These liners were just the right size, easy to pour the batter on, and most of all, non stick. After steaming it was easy to just lift the idly off the linersNothing to do with the steaming, but they were sure very colorful.

Almost perfect
These are absolutely amazing. I hate scrubbing my idli trays (especially between batches) and these prevent me from needing to. The idlis are perfectly shaped and pop out beautifully. My only complaint is that they fit in the tray kind of awkwardly. They fit in my tray just like they do in the picture - just a little big. When you stack the trays you gotta make sure that the liners are adjusted just so in order to make sure nothing spills and your trays aren't askew from partially sitting on one of the liners. But that's not a big deal and doesn't subtract from their value. Love them!

Love hate relationship.
Love them because cleanup is a breeze. Plus I can now manage with just one idli stand.Hate because they take longer to cook and unless I am scientific about the time, some of my idlies come out undercooked.

These+bamboo steamer basket = best DIY idli maker
My neighbor is from Kerala, and he introduced me to the best cuisine on earth. Thanks to these, I am making my own idli every morning with sambar and coconut chutney. They were a cheaper alternative to buying the dedicated stacking idli maker. I put these in the bamboo steaming baskets (5 per level) that came with my wok and steam for 10 minutes. Tip: the idlis pop out perfectly with no oil if you wait a few minutes for them to cool a bit in the molds. I can see why it would make sense to line the regular idli maker with these because they are so easy to clean. I have not tried it yet, but I imagined these would also be great for steaming eggs or any custard as well

The best idli making device
Great alternative to steel mould racks. Nothing sticks to these. Food-grade, high heat resistant. Simply boil water upto 2 inch mark in a pan with flat bottom with a lid. Then place these moulds on to the bottom just right over the water (ensure that water level is just below the mould curvature). Then spoon on your idli mix, cover the lid and within 8 minutes you get fully cooked through fluffy idlis. This does not need oil, the idlis bounce right out of the mould when turned. Unlike the steel contraption, that we have in every idli cook’s household, these are a breeze to clean. You can also make idlis using this in a microwave! Cut pop-up colors. Delivery on time. What more could you ask for??
