We bought this radio to take in the garden to listen to in recent lockdown and we are generally very pleased with it. Initially I found that the battery ran down and was flat quickly when I tried to turn it on subsequent times but this turned out to be me not turning it off and leaving it on standby, now not a problem. It was easy to set up and use even for me as a senior. Plenty of volume to listen to the radio in the garden without irritating the neighbours. Very easy to charge from any USB charger and battery life seems quite long, no longer have to look around for replacement batteries like our old radio. My only real issue is we thought it was manufactured by a UK company when it stated this in the advert “i-box are a proudly British company, our products are designed and developed in the UK” suggesting to me it was also manufactured in Britain but it is made in China. I think it should have said "Made in China" in the advertising wording.

This is a super little radio, compact and very easy to use. The built-in, rechargable battery saves both money and waste on the usual replacements, and the charge allows for 10 - 12 hours of use. Highly recommended!

A beautifully designed and manufactured radio, chunky with a very tactile, non-slip feel. After the battery was charge, the DAB autotuned and five presets were easily created.All the normal controls are on the sloping top panel, even the volume knob clicks satisfyingly.Sound quality is excellent with plenty of volume and no distortion. Battery life seems good.Setting up the sleep and dimming functions from the front buttons is a bit hit and miss - the instructions could be much clearer.All in all a brilliant radio which should give a lot of pleasure.

A really good DAB / FM Portable Radio. I am blown away by the quality of this small in size but big in performance radio, especially the DAB radio. Considering the very reasonable cost if the radio the quality of the audio is superb. I 100% recommend this radio....

I bought this radio for my elderly father as he had to go into a care home and likes to listen to the radio.I bought this particular radio because it seemed easy to set up so that he only had to press one of five buttons to quickly access his favourite stations.The assignment of individual stations to one of the 5 buttons has a serious weakness in its design. If you hold the button for a few seconds then whatever station you are currently listening to gets assigned to that button.Due to his age and dexterity, he presses the buttons and if he holds them for one second too long then the tuning is completely messed up.I wrote to the manufacturer and asked if the station settings could be locked in some way, or the timing lengthened to avoid the problem. They wrote back and said that' s the way it is!The other problem is the USB connection cable for charging the battery. It is weak and already damaged.So in summary, the radio is not at all suitable for older people and the battery charging lead/socket is flimsy. The sound quality is poor as well, so I would not recommend this product.EDIT - July 2022 Update information. The power supply connecter is awful it is based on some kind of miniature USB connection and totally unsuitable for purpose. After just a few months it has broken and the radio cannot be charged anymore. Therefore unfit for purpose.

Good little radio. Not as loud as others I have but fine for bathroom with shower on. Takes a bit of time to start up on digital setting, 8 seconds roughly to tune in after turning on. Ok after that. Seems sturdy with rubber coating. Picks up some digital stations my other one doesn't. The internal battery is good, lasts a good while, although mine is on for short periods. You can always run it on the usb lead if needed. Overall I'm happy with it and for the price is value for money.Update 17 months later. Unfortunately have to amend review as can no longer charge radio as USB port has disappeared into back of radio, now unusable. Shame as otherwise was happy with it. Not sure if this is an inherent weakness or a one off, will contact seller to see what they say.Update, I was pleasantly surprised by the customer service of the seller. They responded to my initial email within an hour and offered a refund or replacement without a quibble, excellent service by any standard. As I said, I was happy with radio, pity about the fault. At least you know if you have a problem that their customer service is impressive, as is the 3 year warranty.

This is my second time purchasing this item. Bought purely as a spare. Original still going strong after a yearThe only negative point is the base can be wobbly when touched. Long lasting battery. 5 presets are great.I use this DAB radio daily.
