Do you know the red steel base? Many users complain about difficult installation. The main reason is the red steel base on the front bottom of the miniPRO cannot remove. Here we offer some effective ways to help. After you take the screws out of the base, you can:1. Use the some TLC to remove adhesive on the stem, and use the wooden wedges to pry it loose.2. Use the kneebar to pry it loose by Lever Principle.3. Vertically pull and shake the red base, use the scooter's own gravity to separate.Your miniPRO / miniLITE / Ninebot S cannot self-balance after installation? Some users say the scooter will roll forward when you extend the handlebar to the maximal height, we advise you can try to recalibrate it on the APP according to the height. And use the kickstand to park your hoverboard like the bicycle. If you're interested, please refer to the scooter kickstand in our store. Gives Mini Segways a Traditional Segway Feel, But Has Some Issues
Bought this because the price was about half that of the Segway branded handlebar. This handlebar matches the color scheme of the Segway MiniLite perfectly and is constructed well. The included phone mount provides a spot for your phone where you can easily see your speedometer and odometer in the Segway app. While riding the Segway with the provided knee bar is fun, the handlebar makes the device feel like a traditional Segway by providing extra control and stability. I’ve given this handlebar a 3/5 because I was sent a used product, when it is advertised as new. The overall condition was great, but required some TLC to remove adhesive on the stem. I have also not been able to completely remove it from the Segway. Even after taking the screws out of the base, it seems to have locked itself on. Not sure if this is a MiniLite compatibility issue or what. This could probably be avoided by adding a small amount of lubricant to the inside of the connector. Just want others to know that this may be an issue you also encounter.

Great product but difficult to remove old handle - read how
This is a quality product that fits well and works as intended. My only complaint is the lack of instructions. After all, you only have to remove two screws and pull off the old handle. Then install the new handle BUT removing the old handle is a bear because the original Segway handle is a very tight fit to the base. The handle manufacturer should provide detailed removal instructions. Since they don’t, I will. Here’s the annoying part. Removing the screws doesn’t allow the handle to separate from the base so here’s what you must do. Loosen the screws and support the handle allowing the weight of the Segway to pull on the handle. Get a friend to help here. Take a plastic headed hammer or a regular hammer and a piece of wood to bang on the screws. Your banging and the weight of the Segway hanging down on the handle should loosen the old handle. Before installing the new handle, lightly coat the handle shaft with white grease to help make it easier to remove the handle, in the future.

disappointed in this set. It's not terrible by any means...
First off, I know it didn't say it or show it but this set really needed to come with an adjustable kneebar. It is completely unusable by me due to it not being able to be adjusted. The segway handlebars are also too small. I am 5' 10" and fully extended it comes up to my waist. It really needs to come up another 3-4 inches to make it more comfortable.Build quality, they are perfectly fine. I don't feel like they are going to break on me but again, the handlebar needed to come up a few more inches. Thats why Im taking off points for this. A shorter person probably wont have an issue. I also wish that the kneebar would have been adjustable as well. As a stroke victim, I have limited directional control of one leg and to be able to have the kneebar come up above the knee could have made all the difference in the world.

this Dual Purpose Segway Handlebar really helps in the use of the Ninebot S
This handlebar was a little tricky to put into place, so I'm not going to try to sugar coat that. However, with a little patience and close examination of the pictures available, it got locked into place.Once in place, it made this so easy for my wife (the intended driver of the Ninebot S) to whip around on her 'toy' just like when she's used the larger professional Segway units in the past.My observation on watching the combination in use, is that the Dual Purpose Segway Handlebar really is a must for users tall enough to accommodate it.

Works great ... but Ninebot cannot self-balance using handlebars at full extension
It works well to completely replace the factory-provided knee controller. I love how you can switch between the two very easily. My one ding is that when you fully extend the handlebar, my Ninebot S cannot self-balance. It will roll forward even after trying to recalibrate it. If you retract the handlebars to the minimize height, it seems to balance much better, but I don't want to have to extend and retract it all the time. So, if I'm going to use the handlebars, it would be for the longer travels where I don't plan on stepping off the device and expect it to stand on its own without rolling away.

It may not work as advertised on a Segway Ninebot S...
I had high expectations for this accessory, but I could not install it because I was not able to remove the original handlebar from my Segway Ninebot S personal transporter. I read on line that this is quite a common problem. Because of it, I could not install this new handlebar and I had to return it.

Mounted this on the upper crash bar of my Triumph Tiger Explorer
And drilled a hole through my Garmin Virb Elite's base and screwed it through the center line of this. And this is now my camera base holder. It's machined aluminium and is very sturdy. I removed the ball bearing rotation portion so that it won't vibrate. Really good quality product for the money.
